There was a big box truck sitting in the driveway when Sentinel and the others got back. Jim was stood outside of it, waving at them as Fang pulled to a stop in front of the garage.
"Come on, y'all, let's go get all this unloaded." Fang said, jumping out and jogging over to the truck. Ranger and Vyper followed suit, but when Sentinel went to help Oracle stopped him.
"Why don't you help us carry in the rest of your stuff, and we'll get your new room picked out." Oracle didn't phrase it like a question as she popped the toolbox on the truck and reached inside.
Sentinel wound up with both arms full of clothes, most of which came at the recommendations of Chesyr and Vyper, while Oracle and Chesyr carried in some game consoles, video games, and books. He still couldn't believe that they had spent as much on him as they had, especially with him having known them barely twenty-four hours. It didn't seem to matter, though, since they just waved away his concerns every time he mentioned how pricey something was. Which really left a question nagging in his head:
Just how much money did these people have?
Sentinel led the way as they went inside, having walked the halls enough times in the last few hours to know where he was going. He stopped at the door next to Chesyr's.
"Can I stay in this one?"
"I don't see why not." Oracle said, stepping forward and opening the door. "Let's just set everything on the bed and see if the guys need any help."
The room was pretty much identical to how the room he'd slept in yesterday looked, and Sentinel was struck by the lack of dust in the room. Did the Eyes keep the entire building in this good of shape? Or had they known that he'd want to stay in this room? It didn't matter much either way, but he couldn't help but be curious about it as he set down all of his clothes.
"Clear the way!" He heard Fang's voice call from the hallway, and he rushed over to hold the door open wide. "We're coming through!"
Fang and Ranger walked through first, each holding the end of a giant cardboard box that held his new TV, followed by Jim with the wall art in his hands, and Vyper bringing up the rear with a two-wheeler loaded down with a box containing his new entertainment center.
"What does that leave?" Chesyr asked.
"The two bookcases, couch, chairs, and the computer stuff," Fang said. He and Ranger set down the TV box and leaned it against the wall. "We've got it handled though. Why don't y'all start getting stuff squared away?"
Chesyr nodded and turned back to Sentinel. "Where should we start then?"
Sentinel shrugged, looking at the massive pile of stuff on his bed. "Clothes?"
The two girls nodded in agreement. Together, the three of them started sorting his clothes, putting hangars on them, and hanging them in the massive closet. They were about halfway through when the others returned, lugging in the couch and two recliners to replace the ones already in the room, which they took back out with them. They had almost finished when they returned again, minus Jim this time, hauling everything that was left in the truck.
"Hey Sentinel, where do you want these?" Ranger asked. Sentinel shot the girls an apologetic look and went to direct.
"I want to put the bookshelves on either side of the entertainment center, So I can store all the other stuff on them." He said, pointing to the spots. Fang and Ranger set down the bookshelves, and Vyper set the box of computer parts next to the bed.
