Sentinel had just started washing his hair when he heard the door to his bathroom open.
"Hello?" Sentinel called, suddenly feeling vulnerable.. He couldn't hear anything over the sound of the shower, and he wasn't sure if whoever it was had come in or not.
"Just me," Chesyr answered, her voice coming from where the sink was. "I got my bandages. Remind me later that we need to get a med kit for your room."
"Sure thing." Sentinel closed his eyes and stuck his head under the stream of water. "Give me just a second and I'll get out so you can get in."
"Now why would I do that?" Chesyr's voice was right behind him this time, and he jumped when he felt her hands on his ribs.
"Chesyr?" Sentinel said nervously.
"Don't worry, cutie." Chesyr giggled. "I won't do anything you don't want me to."
Her hands left his sides, and he heard her pull the shower curtain open and close.
"Nice ass, by the way." Chesyr laughed. "Your bruises look like they're healing nicely though."
Sentinel didn't respond, just finished rinsing out his hair and grabbing the towel he had slung over the curtain.
"You want to step out while I dry off?" Sentinel asked.
"Why bother?" Chesyr's voice told him she was grinning. "I'm already naked too, just come on out."
Rather than argue, Sentinel just held the towel in front of him and opened the curtain. He couldn't help but look for Chesyr, and found her almost immediately.
Or rather, he found her eyes, since the rest of her was invisible.
"Disappointed?" She sounded smug. Her eyes walked past him and into the shower, and she shut the curtain. "No peeking."
"I would never," Sentinel said defensively. He decided he'd try and play back. "Though it seems a little unfair that you got a look at me and I didn't get one at you."
"Maybe one of these days, if you're a good boy." Chesyr giggled again. "Honestly though, if there's never a point where I have to strip you down to work on you, and you never have to do it to me, we'll call it a blessing."
"Sounds good to me." Sentinel said, "I'm going to go get dressed."
"Grab some clothes for me too!" Chesyr called as he walked out of the bathroom.
Sentinel did as he was told, grabbing a pair of pants and a graphic t-shirt for her after getting dressed in jeans and a band shirt. He set them in the bathroom and shut the door as he left. He sat down and the couch and turned on the tv to wait.
It was ten minutes before the water turned off, and Fang stopped by with the sandwiches before Chesyr made it out. She was wearing his clothes and carrying the bandages. She sat down next to him on the couch and grabbed a sandwich.
They ate in silence, the TV the only noise in the room. Sentinel had almost finished his sandwich when Chesyr spoke.
"Sorry I woke you up last night." She said.
Sentinel swallowed the last of his sandwich. "Don't worry about it. I woke you up the other night too, I'm sure."
"Yeah, but I didn't have to bandage you up afterwards." Chesyr rubbed the back of her neck. "I get nightmares. Some are worse than others. You know how it is."
Sentinel nodded. He absolutely knew what she meant.
"It's just been a while since we had anyone new, so I wanted to apologize. At least the first time."
