Sentinel

Twisting Gears Mechanical

Laine, Oklahoma, USA

December 5th, 2019

"God, I hate doing this," Chesyr groaned. "Everyone always stares at me."

"I'm sorry, Chesyr, but you know this is the best way to get inside." Fang said, sounding like he actually meant it. "I promise I won't make you do it in public again while we're here."

Sentinel scanned the area again, not wanting to intrude on their conversation. The three of them were stood on the sidewalk next to Fang's truck, only a hundred feet from Gear's mechanic shop. The twins and Oracle were in the other truck, parked on the side of the shop nearest the garage and listening over the earpieces that Oracle had handed out back at base earlier.

"I hope you make good on that, Captain, but I swear to God that if somebody touches me, I'm breaking their arm." Chesyr said.

"That's fine, just try not to kill them if you can help it." Fang smiled at her, and she gave him a small smile back.

"I don't get it," Sentinel said, finally turning around. "I thought you didn't mind shifting around people."

"Not when I'm just around a couple people, or even at a party or something like that. But this," Chesyr gestured at the crowded street around them. "I hate it. Every single person here that likes women will be staring at me as I walk by. I have to feel their lust, and sometimes I can even tell what somebody wants to do to me as well as what I look like to them. It's awful."

"I'm sorry." Sentinel put a hand on her shoulder and gave it a small squeeze. "Would you rather I go?"

"As much as I want to see you in drag, I think I'll take this one." Chesyr chuckled, and Sentinel gave her shoulder another squeeze before letting his arm drop."

Fang leaned over Sentinel and whispered in his ear. "I appreciate you volunteering to be our man next time we know our target likes men."

Sentinel shuddered, and Fang clapped him on the shoulder while the others laughed at him.

"Okay, does everyone remember the plan?" Fang asked. Sentinel and Chesyr nodded, and the other's all gave affirmatives. "Good, but I'm going to go over it again anyway because I don't trust you animals."

Everyone groaned, including Sentinel, but Fang just gave them a shit-eating grin. Sentinel realized that Fang was absolutely doing it just to annoy them all. Even worse, it was working.

"Chesyr is going to take a walk down the street when a couple of Gear's guys step out for a smoke break. Once she knows what they like, she'll get them to take her inside, and find out if Gear is in there. While she's doing that, Sentinel and I will wait by the front, while Vyper and Ranger watch the garage door, and Oracle waits in the truck, checking the cameras and watching the fire exit.

"Once Chesyr gives us the signal, we get in there and grab Gear, fast as we can. Don't take down anybody else unless they get in the way, and sure as hell don't kill anyone. Once we get gear secured, Ranger and Vyper will escort him to their truck, and we'll all go home. Then the real fun begins."

Fang's smile turned vicious at that, as did Chesyr's. Sentinel started to wonder what exactly they were planning on doing to him.

"Anybody have any questions?" Fang finished.

"Yeah, actually," Vyper's voice came over the comms. "Why are we breaking into his work and kidnapping him in the middle of the day instead of just waiting until he leaves and picking him up like we usually would?"
