Pit walked around, keeping a sharp eye out to try and spot any of the Underworld's Commanders, but all he could really find was Underworld monsters, which some attacked him from time to time. Nothing he couldn't handle though, luckily.

"This place is actually kinda boring when I'm not fighting for my life." Pit said, sighing. He almost wanted one of the higher ups to attack him to save him from this torturous boredom.

"It's a nice change, isn't it?" Palutena giggled, being able to see and hear Pit with her godly powers. "At least this'll be over and done with quickly."

"I suppose so." Pit answered. "How long have I been here?"

"Just over an hour." Palutena replied. "There's just one more place I want you to che-"

She was randomly cut off in the middle of her sentence, what?

"Lady Palutena? Hello?" Pit asked, noticing that she didn't finish her sentence. He grabbed his laurel crown and looked at it with confusion, then put it back on his head.

Upon realising that the psychic connection between him and his Goddess has been lost completely, his heart stopped. "Oh no..." He whispered, on the verge of panic.

"This can't be happening!" He yelled, his voice going slightly higher in pitch due to fear. "How am I going to get out of here?! I'm stranded!"

Due to his panicked screaming, Pit has attracted some unwanted attention, that attention belonging to some Monoeyes, Komaytos and- a Clubberskull... Shit.

One of the Monoeyes shot at Pit, he dodges the projectile at the very last second before shooting back at the monster with his weapons, then swiped at a Komayto that tried to attach itself to his head.

The Clubberskull was only a few metres near Pit by the time he had finished off the rest of the horde, he just barely dodged one of its powerful swinging attacks before beginning to shoot at the beast.

The massive thing roared and swung again, but Pit managed to jump over its arm, and also managed to get a few melee blows in before jumping back out of range.

It then charged again, but this time used a different tactic, which caught Pit off guard and caused him to take a hard hit.

"Agh!" The force of the impact sent him flying, he hit the ground a ways away, stunned, he groaned and tried to get back up.

He looked behind him to see that the monster was coming for him again, still on the ground, he pointed his Artillery Claws at it and fired bullets rapidly.

However, the Clubberskull wasn't slowing down, and Pit wasn't sure if he could get up and run, so he just closed his eyes tight and waited for the inevitable.

Except nothing happened, but he did hear a loud thud which made him jump, he opened one eye slowly, then the other, seeing that the monster was dead on the ground only inches away from him.

"What the fu-" Pit was cut off when an arrow hit the ground next to him, he yelped and jumped away, eyes wide.

"Hey, Pit Stain."

Pit froze, his head turning rather quickly to the direction of the voice that he knew all too well.

What he saw was someone that he really didn't expect to find here of all places, standing on top of a rocky hill that was jutting out of the ground near where he lay was the one and only...

Dark Pit.
