I'm In Love With My Rival

Chapter Six: The Meet Up.

"Hey Lady Palutena? Could you fly me to those ruins where I first fought Pittoo?" Pit asked as he walked over to her.

Three days have finally passed since Pit and Dark Pit had agreed to meet at the ruins where their first battle against each other took place, and now Pit was asking his boss if he she could guide him there.

"Hm? Why?" Palutena responded to his request with curiosity.

"I forgot to open a treasure box that I saw there the last time I went, I have a feeling it contains a high level weapon, I wanted to go retrieve it, if that's okay with you." It wasn't a complete lie, he did forget to open the box, but that wasn't the only reason he was going.

"Oh, alright, sure. You've done all that you needed to do today?" She asks as she opens the door that Pit always seems to be jumping out of.

"Yep! I even got up extra early to get everything done!" Pit replies enthusiastically. Though you couldn't really tell, he was actually quite tired from waking up earlier than he usually does, not to mention it took him a little bit to properly fall asleep last night, and the two nights before, due to his confusing thoughts about his dark self. So yeah, three nights with little sleep because all he could do was think... Ugh.

"Of course, well, off you go then!" Palutena says happily as she enables the power of flight, causing the angel to start hovering above the floor and then shoot out of the open doorway.

"Woah! Lady Palutena! Warn me next time!" Pit exclaims in surprise.

She laughs at his reaction. "Oh calm down, you should be used to that by now."

"I know, but still!" He complains, but the smile on his face gave away the fact that he thought it was kinda funny too.

Finally Pit reaches his destination, Lady Palutena drops him off in front of the fountain that resides in the middle of the ruins.

"I'm gonna go now, I've got some things to do, you'll let me know when you want to be extracted?" She asks her angel, wanting to make sure he'll be alright without her supervision.

"Of course, I'll find the treasure box and have that weapon in no time!" He replies, reassuring her that she had nothing to worry about, at least not what she thought she had to worry about, anyway...

"Okay, I'll see you later Pit." She replies before the connection was cut.

Pit doesn't bother to respond since Lady Palutena wouldn't hear him anyway, instead he walks up to the fountain and sits on a part of the fountain's edge that was still intact, waiting.

He sat there for around twenty minutes, bored out of his mind, he was almost falling asleep. "C'mon Pittoo where even are you?" He asks himself aloud.

"I'm right here."

"Agh!" Pit jumps forward and turns around, ready to throw hands, but relaxes slightly when he sees Dark Pit standing in the fountain and laughing hysterically. "What the-?"

"Oh, that was hilarious, you should've seen your face!" He says between laughs. "Oh my Gods- Give me a sec." He adds, giggling, then sighed when he finally managed to stop laughing completely.

"Don't scare me like that, asshole! How long were you behind me?! I've been waiting here for you for like, twenty minutes." Pit complains, crossing his arms.

"I got here around five minutes ago, I noticed that you were nodding off, so I was going to wait for you to fall asleep to scare you, but then you asked where I was, so I decided to answer, which still scared you half to death, so it was a great idea." He replied while stepping out of the fountain.
