"Well..." Dark Pit trailed off, biting his lip as he began to feel nervous, which never happened to him. "I don't know if you would really believe me if I told you, it is kinda out of nowhere."

Pit tilted his head in confusion. "Huh? What do you mean by that?" He asked, curious.

Pittoo turned his gaze to the cave wall in front of them, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes. "At first I didn't know what I was feeling or thinking, I mean, it's weird to even consider, we're the same person, basically, why would I be so... Infatuated with you and everything you do? ...Am I really that narcissistic that I get a crush on someone who is my clone? Well, I'm your clone, but that's not the point I'm trying to make." He finishes explaining, groaning afterwards. "Thinking about it gives me a headache." He rubs his forehead.

Pit blinked in surprise and confusion. "Wait wait wait, so basically what you're saying is that you like me as more than a friend? Than a rival?" He asked, pointing at him as he waited for confirmation.

"..." Dark Pit was silent for a few seconds before shaking his head slightly. "No, I don't like you, I... I'm pretty sure I love you, yeah, it's stronger than 'like'." He explained as he blushed and looked down at the cave floor, here comes the rejection...

Pit studied his non-blood related twin while he thought about what he had just heard.

He also turned his eyes to the cave's natural flooring- wait no we're in the Underworld and there's nothing 'natural' about this place, it's- I'm getting off topic. He sighs. "Look Pittoo, I-"

"Pit! Are you there?" Said angel was suddenly cut off by a voice he didn't expect to hear for at least a while yet.

"Lady Palutena?" He asked in surprise and stood up quickly. "Yeah I'm here, what happened?"

"I don't know, the signal got jammed someh-"

Pittoo tuned out the rest of their conversation, he was a little annoyed that Pit's lousy Goddess decided to interrupt them now of all times, oh well, maybe it was better that he didn't hear the rest of that sentence...

"Okay, I'll walk out of the cave so you can get me the Hell away from here." Pit said to Palutena with a laugh. He then turned to Pittoo. "You okay?" He asked when he noticed that he looked upset.

Dark Pit looked at him before standing up. "Yeah, I guess." He grumbled before turning to the entrance of the cave and walking outside.

Pit watched him then followed. "Wait! Don't you want to hear what I was saying befo-"

"No." He interrupted as they were now outside. "What's the point? I already know that you don't feel the same way about me." He said, continuing to walk away.

"I wasn't going to say that I didn't." Pit replied in a quiet tone as he took a step forward. "You're so impatient Pittoo." He adds with a chuckle.

Pittoo growled and turned his head around to face him. "Don't call me that."

Pit chuckled again and gave him a soft smile. "Look, I'm not entirely sure if I do love you back, but I'm not entirely repulsed by the idea either." He explained.

Dark Pit turned around fully as he looked at Pit curiously. "What's that supposed to mean? You either do or you don't."

Pit shook his head. "It's complicated, tell you what, give me three days to think about it, then I'll give you my final answer to your confession." He says while walking over to stand next to him.

The fallen angel thought about the suggestion for a moment before nodding. "Alright, but where should we meet?" He asked.

"Hmmm, how about those old ruins? Where we had our first battle." Pit suggests.

"Sure, luckily I remember how to get there." Dark Pit replied with a nod.

"Then it's settled, we'll meet at the ruins in three days." Pit smiled brightly when the plans were made.

"Alright, oh, one more thing before we get back to our respective Goddesses." Pittoo added hurriedly.

"What?" Pit asked with a curious expression.

"Don't mention our planned meet up to Palutena, I'm not saying anything to Viridi, sure they're on good terms now, but that won't last forever, they might not like us seeing each other, romantically or not." He says seriously.

Pit looked uncomfortable, he didn't like lying to Lady Palutena, Hell, he doesn't think he ever has lied to her, about anything! Though, he just gives him a nod, letting him know that he won't say anything in case he's right and she forbids him from seeing his clone.

"Good." Dark Pit murmurs, also nodding.

Pit then tells Lady Palutena, who thankfully wasn't listening into their conversation, that he was ready to go. Not even a second later a beam of light surrounded him and he began floating upwards, he looks back down at Pittoo and waves goodbye before disappearing up into the sky.

Dark Pit waved back to him lazily, sighing heavily before contacting Viridi. "Can you extract me?" He asked, more than ready to go back home.

"Did you find anything interesting with the Underworld or it's Commanders?" Viridi asks as she prepared to bring Pittoo back to her realm.

"No, nothing, but Pit was here looking for info too." He replies with a bored sounding tone, though his cheeks were flushed, luckily no one could see that.

"So in other words, nothing to worry about." Viridi replied with a mocking laugh.

Just then, a pillar of sunlight and leaves surrounded him, and with not even a seconds' delay, he was gone.
