"Pit, I'm sorry but I don't have anything else for you to do today."

The angel sighs after his Goddess said that. "Well, let me know if you do have a job for me." He replies, walking out of her throne room and back through the door that he had entered from.

It had been a month since Pittoo had left, and they would talk to each other through their laurel crowns whenever Dark Pit had time alone, which unfortunately wasn't often, since Viridi had kept to her word of always keeping a close eye on him, and telling the other commanders to do the same.

Even then, Pittoo telling Lady Palutena important info was priority, so if he only just had enough time to talk to her, Pit couldn't speak with him, but the Goddess of Light always said to Pit that Dark Pit had a message for the lighter, which was usually just 'I love you' or 'I miss you', which was enough for Pit. For now.

He appreciated the messages greatly.

The light angel had been doing anything and everything to keep himself busy so he wouldn't have to think about his boyfriend not being right next to him. Safe... It was hard though to keep his mind off of the dark angel, since there were only so many things that he could do around the temple.

He had been training non-stop, both himself and The Centurions, which was good for his improvement in fighting and combat skills, but not so much where he did it to the point of near exhaustion, Palutena even had to lecture him about it a few times, tell him that he should stop overworking himself.

When he wasn't training or being scolded by Lady Palutena, he would ask her for the power of flight and fly around Skyworld for five minutes, since that was how long he could use it for before his wings caught fire, either way it was always calming for him.

He sighs sadly as he walked, not really going anywhere in particular.

Eventually he makes it to the gardens that surround the temple, looking around, he can't even remember stepping outside, he must have been thinking too much again...

He shrugs and continues to walk along the golden pathway that wound around all of the plants and garden beds.

He sees a bench nearby and decides to sit down on it, sighing again due to the fact that he just couldn't stop thinking about his beloved clone of darkness.

Was it healthy to be this hung up over someone that you're still with romantically? That's just far away? Probably not, but what could he do about it?

He was about to get up and walk to his room to nap, since that was all he could think of to do, he was tired anyway, when he could hear his name being said.

"Huh?" He shook his head, looking around to see if there were any Centurions nearby, there were, but none of them were really paying attention to him, plus they never called him by his name, they always referred to him as 'Captain'.

"Pit! Are you there?" He heard it again, and realised that it was coming from the laurel crown, his eyes widened and he grinned happily. "Pittoo!"

"Hey babe." He replied, glad that Pit had answered him. Right now he was hiding in the training room at Viridi's temple, the other commanders where off doing their own things, so he was pretty safe to talk with Pit for the time being.

Pit blushed at the pet name, smiling softly. "I didn't expect to hear your voice today, how is it over there?" He asks, leaning back against the bench he was sitting on.

"It's fine, at least I'm kept busy, Viridi is determined to have me do all of her stupid errands." Dark Pit replies, He was currently lying down on a rug on the floor of the training room, it was made of moss so it was comfortable to an extent.

Pit laughed. "Aw, that sucks, at least you're not bored."

"Yeah, wish you were here to entertain me." Pittoo says in a voice that told Pit he was hinting at something.

Pit was confused for a moment before he caught on. "Wh- Pittoo!" He nearly yells, his blush coming back but hotter this time.

Dark Pit just laughs, teasing Pit was always funny, plus he probably looked so damn cute right now.

Pit sighs, shaking his head. "You're lucky I love you."

"Yeah, you too." Pittoo responds, smiling gently. "How are you holding up without me?"

It took Pit a few seconds to answer, shrugging, he said. "Not as well as I thought I would." He murmurs, feeling pathetic admitting it out loud. He's killed multiple Gods, but being separated from his Boyfriend is what really gets to him mentally, I mean honestly, he should be doing fine, he's been through worse things...

Dark Pit frowns at hearing that. "I'm sorry, I wish I could come see you, and I'll try to talk to you more often." He promises.

Pit hummed, looking down at the ground for a moment before he realises something. "Hey, did you have any intel for Lady Palutena? I thought that you would've talked to her first."

"I did, it wasn't a lot so I was able to get that done rather quickly and decided to talk to you while I have the time, however long that may be." Pittoo answers.

"Ah, good, I'll go talk to her about that in a bit." Pit says, nodding, forgetting for a second that Dark Pit couldn't see him nod.

The darker was about to reply when he heard footsteps outside the door to the training room. "Fuck." He whispered. Getting up from the floor and facing the door.

"Pittoo?" Pit asked, wondering why his boyfriend suddenly cursed.

"Pit, I gotta go." Pittoo answers in a whisper. "I'm sorry, I'll talk to you when I can, okay? I love you." He says quickly, noticing that the door was opening.

Pit frowned at that, but understood why. "I love you too." He murmurs, sighing when he heard no reply.

He stayed where he was for a few more minutes before standing up and stretching.

"Guess I should just go to bed and take a nap." Pit says to himself, walking back to the palace.

As he walked, he moved his right hand up to his laurel crown, his fingers touching the metal lightly.

How much longer would he be able to cope without him?
