Once the two angels had finished breakfast, which consisted of cereal since they were forbidden from cooking without Palutena in the room to make sure that they didn't fuck up. We don't need a repeat of last time.

Dark Pit had coffee with his food while Pit had orange juice, (he tried some of Pittoo's coffee and immediately hated it).

After eating, they headed off to find the Goddess of Light so they could begin to discuss their next move against Viridi and the Forces of Nature.

After walking around for a bit, they find her in the room where the Goddess and Pit usually planned all their battle tactics and strategies.

Upon hearing the door open, Palutena turned her head and saw the two entering. "Morning you two, take a seat." She says, her gaze going back to the table she was standing over. There was a map of Skyworld on its surface that she seemed to be studying.

Pit and Dark Pit walk around the table to the other side and sit down in the chairs, looking to Palutena in expectation of her to begin explaining the plan further than she has.

She looks at them before sighing. "Well, I've been thinking of our next move and have come up with something that I think will work." She says.

"Lay it on us, then." Pittoo replies, somewhat impatient.

Palutena ignores his tone. "I think that Dark Pit should return to Viridi and swear his allegiance to her-"

"Wait, what?!" Pit exclaims, standing up. "No way would he do that!"

"I'm not. It's part of our plan that we talked about last night, remember?" Dark Pit reminds his agitated boyfriend, shaking his head.

Pit blinks as he stares at him, then blushes. "O-oh yeah, now I remember." He stutters, embarrassed.

"Anyway," Palutena continues, sighing. "Pittoo will fake wanting to rejoin her ranks."

Pit and Dark Pit look at each other then back at Palutena and nodded for her to go on.

"When Pittoo goes back to Viridi, he will be as an information gatherer for us. He'll he pretend to remain loyal to her but really he'll still be working for me. When you get there tell her that you broke up with Pit and that way it would seem that you have no reason to betray her." She explains, feeling proud of her clever idea.

"Huh, sounds like it could work, though if I'm found out, I wouldn't put it past Viridi to not try to kill me, probably." Dark Pit says, crossing his arms and closing his eyes as he thought more about the plan.

"It's too dangerous, is it really worth the risk to put him in danger like that?" Pit asked, moving his chair closer to Pittoo's and hugging his side.

"You're acting like I can't fight, I'm sure if worse comes to worst I'll be able to get out of it alive somehow." The darker replies, wrapping a wing around Pit in an attempt to reassure him.

"I know, that's why I won't force Dark Pit to do this mission if he doesn't want to, it's up to him." Palutena says, nodding to the dark angel.

Pittoo looked at her then at the table, thinking it over.

Eventually, he turned his gaze back to the Goddess standing before him and nodded. "I'll do it. Could be interesting." He adds with a playful smirk.

Pit looked at him with worry. "Are you sure? You don't have to, we can think of something else..." He suggested, looking at Lady Palutena for help.

"No, I want to." Dark Pit replied firmly, then kissed Pit's forehead. "I'll be fine, I promise." He whispers, causing Pit to smile and nod, feeling better now from the reassurance.

"Great! Now, there's one more thing left to do, hand me your laurel crowns." The Goddess demands, holding her hand out.

The two angels looked at each other and shrugged when she didn't explain further, but took off their crowns and handed them to her without protest.

Palutena held them in one hand while the other one hovered over them, a white light emitting from her palm.

But the light vanish almost as quickly as it appeared. "Here you go." She says as she hands them back.

"What did you do to them?" Pittoo asked, staring at the golden leaves in his hands as Pit put his own back on his head.

"I put a small spell on them that will allow you two to talk to each other while separated, and no other God will be able to tune in on the conversation, not even me." Palutena explains seriously, but looked a little proud of herself for pulling off that specific spell, after all, magic could be unpredictable and complicated.

Pit's eyes widened slightly, surprised. "Really? That's so cool! Wait- How will I be able to talk to you then, will Pittoo hear our conversations?"

The Goddess shook her head. "No, and to choose who you want to talk to, just say our names out loud while wearing the crown and there you have it, simple."

Pit nodded in understanding, looking to Dark Pit who was putting his laurel crown back on.

Palutena looked at them, smiling sadly. "Unfortunately you two won't be able to see each other throughout this mission, it would be far too risky." She warns.

"What? But, how long will that be?..." Pit asked, feeling anxious to be away from Pittoo for, well, Zeus knows how long.

"Hopefully not too long, I don't want to go back to that short stacked bitch." Pittoo growled, annoyed but knew it was better to play it safe for now.

Palutena sighed. "I know it will be difficult, but I know you two will be able to get through this together." She says with an encouraging smile.
