I had a comment about a poem a few weeks ago that led to this, imagining life without you...

Spicy

Transported to Morocco

With a dish that makes me drool

Chicken Tagine's most delightful

Your absence not minuscule

Running necessary errands

A thermos of frothed chai

Without your comforting presence

It's diminished in my eye

Weekly housekeeping dreaded

Empty bottle cleaners remade

Your fragrance has vanished

Time stole you, I'm dismayed

The reward of shower dwindles

With a boring store bought bar

Must reorder handmade batch

Scent of Middle Eastern bazaar

My health begins to suffer

Waiting on your return

So bland each day's become

For you, Cinnamon, I yearn
