Week 259 - Silence

I have become addicted to daily walks through the woods, with my canine companion.

Silence

Silence loudly heard,

In the verdant wood,

Where he and I stood,

Breathe meditatively,

Combat oppressive smell,

Where species hidden dwell,

The scent so heady,

Of death and decay,

Nature's cyclic way,

Where light flash danced,

Not a breeze stirred,

Fallen leaves interred,

Imagination runs wild,

Off beaten path sauntered,

Enigma encountered,

Movement nearby alerts,

Senses go berserk,

Unfamiliar presence lurk,

Extraordinary moments,

Perceptions faltered,

One's experience altered.
