I'd like to say I'm a real pizza aficionado. I'm a judge of "pie" character from the crust, to the sauces, down to the proper topping proportions, not excluding cheese ratio and type. I also believe the aesthetically pleasing picture-ability of these savory slices is paramount to enjoyment. If number of pies consumed has anything to do with this, I gotta be in the running for most knowledgeable consumer!
So what does one do when they find themselves in a new environment? Well, if your like me, you scope out the top rated pizza joints. This helps alleviate stress and put life back into pizza perspective, adding a routine of comfort food nirvana.
Pizza
New to the islands
Need a savory slice
Stressed and overwhelmed
Will this be paradise
Review upon review
Deep dish or thin crust
Tavern, pub, or bar
Flour or cornmeal dust
If the sauce is too heavy
A crust is compromised
Tomato, white, pesto,
oil and garlic also prized
If the toppings on sauce
Are tossed without a care
Reminding one of garbage
It's time to despair
Cheese is essential
Mozzarella hides flaws
Ricotta and parmesan
A trio to applause
Hawaii has its own pie
Sweet pineapple you say
I'm unconvinced its real
Not today, ever, no way
GPS routes to chinatown
A mistake, I'm quite sure
Unlikely place for pizza
And a pie craving cure
Pizza at an Irish pub
In Chinatown, absurd
Serving scrumptious slices
Thankful I discovered
