Happy Mother's Day! However you spend it, enjoy!
Mother's Day
Waves go crashing one after one
Froth blinds in the upcoming sun
Crabs scurry into their holes
To avoid crowds with umbrella poles
Toddler squats with shovels in hand
Scooping, piling, and packing sand
From the shallows of Honolulu
Jet ski zigs and zags the deep blue
Children splash in incoming tide
There's waves to surfboard ride
An ice cream cart has two wheels
Man ringing bell announcing deals
Towable tube pulled by speed boat
Youth in inner tubes stay afloat
A couple applies smelly sunscreen
On beach towels of aquamarine
While friends bait fishing hooks
Readers are lost in forgotten books
Volleyball served to the sound of cheers
But yelling family is all anyone hears
Woman with snorkel headed to shore
Scuba tank and fins, gear of hardcore
Teens with colorful rackets whack ball
Vendors set up fruity drink stall
Walkers stroll in search of peace
Others jog for stress release
Yoga and dancing appear to be fun
Tender skins bake and burn in sun
Outrigger with a six person team
Muscle fatigue of novice extreme
Woman with jewelry hanging from arm
Tourist admire intricate knots charm
Dogs of all sizes like the people they walk
Prance and bound between birds they stalk
I lounge away hours enjoying the show
Free entertainment from beach view condo
