Our rescue pup, Wraith, has many names. I often wonder if we've given him an identity crisis. But then I think of how his trainer laughed and said he is the happiest, most trusting dog. He spends a lot of time on his back rolling around exposing his most vulnerable parts. He also does every single jump, mushroom, slide, ladder, bridge, teeter-totter... without thought to height or danger level.Every nickname Wraith has, comes from specific behaviors, and they are used accordingly. He answers to quite a few of them...
Wraithenator
Tornado "Wraitenator"
Destroys boxes and toys
Sharp teeth sink into projects
While making lots of noise
"Wicked whizzler" whizzes
In a bulldozing blur
Dodging every obstacle
Creating quite a stir
"Nibbilonie" nibbles
Cheese dog remnants left behind
Can never get enough
Licks fingers from which he dined
"Baron Skettybottoms"
Shortened to "Skettybum"
Pumbaa behind makes us laugh
His disposition blithesome
"Poopers" is quite refined
About where he drops is pooh
That derrière doesn't squat
Without a ballyhoo
"Snappy McSnapperson"
At times, an alligator
Snapping for attention
To whom we must cater
"Frankenfrecks" is so cute
With stitched leg and missing ear
People ask his puppy age
"Frecks"is in his fourth year
"Sir Pepperdick" has a spot
You can guess exactly where
Coat covered in splotches
Not hidden by short hair
"Tink's" tinks on everything
Including my shoe and pants
He's got a broken tinker
That sprays, dirt, rocks, and plants
"Mudsy" makes mighty messes
Coat and paws sometimes smell
Floors and furniture cleaned
Within minutes you can't tell
"Count Cry-a-lot" dreams daily
Making all sorts of sounds
Runs in place to a yapping
Is he hunting with some hounds
"Two Poohmagoo" is full of ...
You'd think he ate a lot
When he relieves himself
Creates a toxic stinkpot
