JIMIN POV

I am nothing less than upset.

Yes, I understand that I wasn't present for his first six months of life. But that wasn't by choice. I had no say in that. Clearly he's aware of that. He knows.

So for him to make the comments that he did as if I weren't standing there, as if I'm not trying. It pisses me off. It's like he was challenging my position as a father to my own son.

And Amaria. I know for a fact that she's aware of what he has going on because she was in no state of surprise when I mentioned his fiancée.

"Why didn't you ask me to go instead of allowing him to?"

"I didn't allow him to do anything. He just showed up."

"He seems to do that a lot.... And then you let him stay. If you didn't want him there, why didn't you ask him to leave? Or tell him to leave?"

"Because I didn't want to cause a scene which is exactly what he would've done to get his way. I don't need people talking about me, Jimin."

"You're a model and a dancer. You're mainstream in your field. Somebody is always going to be talking about you." I tell her although I think she should know that.

She has to know.

"But I can control what information I give them to discuss. You of all people should know how this works. Why are you badgering me about this?"

"Because you keep allowing that asshole around my son! What do you mean? You let him treat you poorly and then continue to bring him around Kailo?"

"Stop talking about things you don't understand."

"Then please, help me understand. Because I'm confused. You ask me about trusting my girlfriend around our son and your, whatever the hell he is to you, is a prick and you let him around Kailo constantly. You can't possibly think that's okay. How can you let someone that treats you like shit around your child?"

She walks away from me and goes upstairs to put Kai to bed. I follow her up and she turns to me after she cracks his door.

"I let him around Kai because this isn't about me. It's about him." She says as she walks back down the stairs. "I can't force people that care away from him just because I don't like them."

"Yes, actually. Yes, you can. That's your right as his mother. If they don't respect you, what makes you think they're not bad mouthing him?"

"He's a child."

"Exactly. He's a child. He doesn't know what's going on around him. You can't keep bringing Demetrius around and letting him run all over you in front of him."

She ignores me as she takes the dishes out of the dishwasher. She puts them on the drying rack and puts all of the silverware into drawers.

"Not to mention that you just don't need to be letting people treat you like that in general. He knows you let him do this. He's not going to stop."

"That's not really your problem, is it?" She says as she looks at me. I narrow my eyes at her. Is she serious?

She can't be serious. She's right. It isn't my problem, it isn't my business. As long as she keeps her affairs with Demetrius away from my son, I shouldn't care.
