Pt. 20 The One-on-One Fights

Kaen Kazuma vs Oki Shimizu

This is gonna be a fight to see.

Ibara: Start!

Kaen immediately bombards Shimizu with his Flamethrower To 11 attack. Very similar to that old League member, the asshole with the flames, the one that burnt your mother all those years ago.

Shimizu's jets of water are barely enough to stop him getting serious burns.

Kaen then stops, and slices the air, leaving waves of flame, easily dispersed by Shimizu's Power Wash.

Kaen throws a punch, it's grabbed by Shimizu, who turns around to elbow him in the stomach, hard enough that Kaen could say goodbye to whatever he had for lunch.

He stumbles back. He aims a finger out.

Kaen: Permea-burn!

He shoots a fast ball of flame, seemingly controlled by his finger. The flame goes through Shimizu many times, causing him to hold his chest in throbbing agony.

Kaen springs from his tail, using his wings to boost, he kicks Oki in the head, knocking him out.

What a fight! Who's going on again?

You look to the board, showing your next opponent.

Katana Sako vs Kasai Bakugo
Kana Asui vs Taiyo Makihara
Kikotei Kaneko vs Hoshiko Chisaki
Huh. The rematch.
Y/N Hado vs Kaen Kazuma

Kasai's fight was first. He stares down with the villain's daughter.

Kasai: I remember the name somewhere. Sako.

Katana: Can you not? I'm nothing like him.

She clenched her fist and grit her teeth.

Damn. She's just like you. Hoshiko.

At that thought, Hoshiko returns with snacks.

Y/N: Aww. Thanks, you didn't have to.

Hoshiko: Don't you want them?

She tilts her head.

Y/N: Yeah. It's just, I'll explain later.

You put your arm around her, waiting for the match to start.

Y/N: See that girl?

You say with a mouthful of food.

She nods.

Y/N: You two would get along. I think she'd understand you, better than I do that's for sure.

Hoshiko: Really? Why?

Y/N: Um, reasons.

She's also a villain's daughter, but I won't bring it up. I don't know if that'll set her off or what.

Ibara: Start!

Sako starts the match with a punch to the gut, Kasai blocks the punch. She smirks at him and breaks away.

Kasai starts writhing in pain as Sako closes her hand. She kicks his face, he stumbles back, through the pain, he blasts towards her, with as calm a face as he could, under his body's compression.

He grabs her face in his hand. He blasts her face, throwing her out of the ring.

He runs out after her.

Kasai: Hey, that was way too hard, I'm sorry.

He refers to her minor burns on top of her eye scar.
