Pt. 13 The Uniters Strike UA

You're in class, holding Hoshiko's hand. She holds your non-dominant hand with her right.

While Aizawa is teaching the class, Kana Asui, who is on the other side of you, next to her brother, talks to you.

Kana: You two have to be dating.

Y/N: We are now. She wants to get married already.

Kana: It's day one. Geez.

Y/N: I don't blame her.

You kiss her cheek.

Kana: Whatever.

You return your focus to Aizawa's lesson. Hoshiko takes down every single utterance from Aizawa, as well as what he writes.

Y/N: You're really going to prove everyone wrong, aren't you?

Hoshiko: Damn right.

A crash is heard, followed by an alarm.

Aizawa: Everyone follow me to the evacuation zone.

You all walk briskly, checking every corner.

Y/N: Everything is going to be fine, Hoshiko.

Hoshiko: I can fight, it's fine.

A man with a strength quirk rushes all of you, before you have the chance to shoot, Hoshiko glitch teleports and kicks the beast of a man in the back of his neck. You stare in awe at her.

Hoshiko: See. I'm fine.

Y/N: Alright, sorry.

You start to run after the class, catching up easily.

Judan is pinned by a lizard man, Rora hits the beast twenty times in the ribs, his hands becoming a blur at the last five.

The lizard man scowls at Rora, his broken ribs spurting blood all over the floor. He goes to charge, he is then struck by a disc of concrete.

Aizawa: Come on, we have to go.

The lizard man gets back up before being knocked out by a single kick from Aizawa.

Aizawa: fff.

He holds his cramped leg. (Aizawa is badass but he's 46.)

Overhaul is heard on the P.A.

Overhaul: Eri. Where are you?

Hoshiko recognises this voice and panics.

Y/N: He's after Eri, not you. You're going to be fine.

Hoshiko breaths rapidly, tears trailing from her face. You pick her up, kissing her cheek.

I'm here. It's all going to be okay.

You all run to the evacuation zone.

Aizawa: Stay here.

1-A: Alright!

He leaves with Judan in charge, until Chargebolt arrives.

Chargebolt: Right, looks like I'm in charge.

You sit with Hoshiko, worried, you kiss her forehead.

A villain appears, he has nothing below his elbows.

Overhaul: The little luck I've had with finding Eri, I might as well take what's mine.

Y/N: You piece of shit.

You put Hoshiko down and walk towards Overhaul, gritting your teeth. If you were a few kilos heavier, you'd dent the concrete with your steps.

Hoshiko, worry no more. I'll rid your life of this scum, who has caused you so much pain.

Y/N: You recognise this?

You hold your hands out and charge a Flood attack. He stands there.

You fire, as the smoke clears, you see a shadowy figure approach you, fast.

Overhaul kicks you in the face and lands, standing on your face. He jumps off.

Overhaul: Becoming practically quirkless, I had to learn to fight without it.

Y/N: So that's what you've been doing these past fifteen years.

You say with an already bloody face.

Y/N: Get Hoshiko to safety!

You yell to your classmates before charging a Dashing Wave towards Overhaul. He is shocked with electricity before being hit square in the face.

You fire the blast into Overhaul's dreaded beak-faced bullshit, in your eyes.

Overhaul is sent into the side of the building.

Y/N: Hurt Hoshiko and I will kill you.

Overhaul: Are you really a hero then?

Y/N: Protecting another from their abuser, I'd say so.

A/N: After the Shie Hassaikai arc, Overhaul breaks out and does some work with Eri, at this point his daughter is with him. He treats them both the same, and after he is locked up, five years before this, she is sent to an orphanage where Hoshiko was abused further for what her father did. Probably should have explained some other way but, lol I trash.

Y/N: I don't care for the Shie Hassaikai, I only care about what you did to her. I will right your wrongs.

Overhaul: I'm afraid she's too far gone for that.

You scream and hit him with another Dashing Wave. Overhaul is left writhing in a crater in the wall. You walk to him slowly, keeping a gaze that would cause old All for One to quiver. Overhaul starts to shake.

Y/N: Now you know what fear feels like. Remember that next time you try to lay a hand on Hoshiko or Eri.

You punch him, using another Dashing Wave.

Overhaul's bloodied face tells you that he's learned his lesson well. (Sneaky reference)

You walk back over to Hoshiko, who is still out cold in panic.

You hold her tight.

Y/N: It's okay, my baby, Hoshiko. He's not gonna hurt you no more.

She wakes as you brush her cheek with your hand. She looks into your eyes with a smile.

You smile wide and pull her in.

Hoshiko: Thank you.

She kisses your cheek. You rub the back of her short haired head.

1-A: Aww.

The teachers come back and address all of you.

Aizawa: Thanks to all of you, we were able to contain the threat. That about sums it up so I'm going to sleep.

You walk with Hoshiko after the incident and buy a few cheese ring snacks.

She clings to your arm.

Cashier: Geez, clingy much?

Y/N: She's had it hard.

Cashier: Whatever.

You pay for the snacks and return to your room.

Y/N: What say we watch a movie?

Hoshiko: Umm, I don't know.

She starts to breathe rapidly again, sweating.

Hoshiko: Umm, I do- I d-

Y/N: Hey, hey, it's okay. You're okay. See?

Hoshiko: Sorry for outbursting like that.

Y/N: It's okay.
She'd probably get beaten for not making up her mind. I can see why she does that.

Y/N: Listen Hoshiko, I will never hurt you. Never. Ever.

You press your forehead to hers.

Y/N: You're gonna be fine. Relax. If you can't that's okay. Know that unlike most, I'll be patient with you.
