Jake was intoxicated with the scent coming from nearby. Then Jake stopped when a realization hit him. If his mate is really here, then that means he's a vampire as he's in the territory of vampires.

Jake doesn't even know how many miles he walked to reach the area but he's sure this place now is so far from his home.

Closer and closer he walk with his heart thumping excitedly with the thought of having a vampire mate. I mean, Jake loved that idea as he knew vampires don't care about lower ranking or high ranking.

Plus no wolf in history has ever been mated to a vampire and Jake thought he would be the first one to do that and maybe, he would feel how it feels to be the first one.

He reached a very beautiful lake with fireflies flying around. There is a bench and that's where the scent is coming from. Forgetting the suitcase he left under the tree, Jake went closer to the bench with his heart now beating louder than he could ever remembered.

When he reached the bench, a gasp immediately left his lips as he took in the sight of the creature sleeping on the bench. His heart is beating so fast.

The guy sleeping is so handsome in Jake's eyes. His skin is pale with very gorgeous features. From his closed eyes to his lips. Even the mole near his eyes are very striking. He's a breathing fantasy as Jake has never seen anyone as gorgeous as his mate.

Then he heard someone coming so he immediately hid behind a huge tree with a huge smile on his face. Never in his life he's ever been this happy with seeing a new face. After all he had been through, having a mate could be the greatest thing that he could ever have. Being mated will be the best thing that will ever happen to him.

He peeks again and saw a woman walking over his gorgeous sleeping mate.

"Sunghoon. . . . hey I'm here .  ."

"So he's Sunghoon. That's a handsome name"

Jake was blushing with the new found information. Never in his life has he ever thought of a name being handsome.

"Hey . . I'm sorry I slept . . so what's with the secret something in here?"

"His voice is so . . . hot"

Jake peeked again but was confused when he saw them holding hands and Sunghoon. said male was also gazing at the woman like she's the love of his life.

The wolf was confused.

Jake look again as he heard their conversation.

"I have some news honey.  ."

"Honey? . . are they together?"

"The reason we're here because it is important. . . honey . . you're gonna be a father"

"Father?. . is my mate married?"

Sunghoon's face lit up with a huge smile on his face as he let out a scream of joy. Carrying the woman, he spun her around as they both let out squeals of joy.

"I'm gonna be a father! Oh my goodness!! Come on let's go tell my mom . . . this is the best .   thank you. I love you baby "

Jake was heartbroken that even the word itself cannot describe his feeling inside.

Just as he thought he's gonna find the one but then he's married.

He's a vampire. Vampires, unlike wolves can mate to whoever their heart falls in love to. They have no concept of mates unlike wolves.

Jake was feeling so weak that he collapsed in tears. It is so unfair, he loves his mate even without talking to him. Why can't his mate also have the feeling? Now even with his being as a wolf, Jake is hating it.

"He does look happy with her. . . I guess this is rejection and death. . . I guess no one really lives to love me"

Smiling bitterly, Jake decided to just go there and be killed by rougues.

The only reason Jake has been living until now is the hope that his mate will see him as he is and not just some weak omega who is a total liability. He has faith on his mate but this is the last straw for him to now give up his life. What's even the point now?

This day has been so sad and hurtful for him. He got kicked out and now he has no mate to count on.

He went back to his suitcase when he saw that rouges have surrounded him now.

"Ok .  . come on just kill me"

But before they even attack, a guy already was walking towards him.

"If you stinky wolves won't step away you'll be sorry"

The guy's eyes flashed red and a smile flashes before his fangs appear.

He's a vampire.

But what Jake didn't expect was the rouges to split up and left in a hurry.

Has wolves always feared vampires?

"You shouldn't have saved me. I am ready to die . . "

"Why? . . the Earth will then lose another beauty . . there's few left you know"

"You think I'm pretty?"

"You're beautiful . . ."

"Thanks. . . I guess I never realized"

"I wish you're my mate"

No one has ever called him pretty or beautiful, not even once but this stranger just did. Jake then couldnt help it that he wished to he this man's mate instead of the married one.

"I'm Jake"

"Hey . . I'm Park Jongseong or just Jay . . and if you can tell, I'm a vampire. . so are you a human lost in the woods?"

Jake laughed. Yeah, he had a point, he is like a human, well close to being a human.

"I'm a wolf. . . just the weakest kind."

"Omega . . I see . . I don't get you wolves. . why outcast your own kind? You and humans are kinda alike on that one"

Jake felt dizzy, maybe because of the indirect rejection he experience making him fall onto the ground unconscious.

Jay was shocked as Jake just collapsed in front of him.

Jay went there because Sunghoon has some news but unexpectedly came across the said attack. He can't let the poor wolf alone in this place. He will become food in no time. And Jay cannot live another day knowing he left a helpless wolf in the woods.

Fun fact, wolves cannot win against vampires. The reason no wolf nor vampire ever came across in a battle is the fact that wolves are aware, no matter how strong they are, vampires always have a way to outwit them and win. Jay just laughed at wolves who act all mighty but are just puppies in front of him.

Carrying his suitcase and Jake at the same time, Jay teleported back to his mansion before laying Jake down on one bed.

"Hey . . . take care of him for a while ok?"

His helpers nodded as he left to meet with Sunghoon.
