Jake

I can't hide my smile as I am trying to make Sunoo walk up the stairs. The thing is, Sunghoon is busy with paperworks and his grandmother is busy with the maids in the laundry room. Plus Sunoo has been crawling towards the stairs for a while now and it has been minutes since he's trying to walk up the stairs and we're still not even ten steps.

His legs are still wobbly and cannot stand still but he's trying to walk up really hard.

"Let's rest now ok? You can go again tomorrow. . ."

He just jumps into my arms and a yawn escapes his mouth. How can they not squish him? I'm tempted to.

I carried him upstairs to their shared room and slowly knocked on the door but no one is answering. Is Sunghoon not inside?
I opened the door and was met with a sleeping beauty on the desk with papers still on his hand.

"Ok be a good boy and sleep on your own ok? Your Dad is tired."

I place Sunoo on the bed as he stares at his father on the chair before looking up at me.

He lifts up his arms wanting to be carried so I did and we walk towards his father. Sunoo slowly touched Sunghoon's face with his palms but Sunghoon has no response. He used his two hands and held Sunghoon's face as he softly shook him to wake him up but Sunghoon is still unresponsive.

He's really tired.

After few more failed attempts, Sunoo began to tear up as he is not hitting Sunghoon's cheek. I also shook him but he's not budging. Sunoo left my arms as he settled on his dad's lap as he is now crying.

I panicked when Sunghoon is literally not moving on the spot he's in.

"Sunghoon!!"

I began to tap his face but no response.

What is going on? Normally, Sunoo's sniffles are enough but now Sunoo is literally wailing but Sunghoon is still asleep.

I dialed Jay's number and thankfully, he answered.

"Sunghoon is not waking up"

I think he knew already as Sunoo can be heard.

"Has he been lacking blood?"

"Oh that . . he hasn't drank blood since he was shot before. He would throw up. He also attempted to drink fresh from the blood bank but he's just throwing up. . do you think it is because he's now too weak?"

"I can only assume. . . if he didn't have blood for a long time, then he will be weaker and weaker . . since he has an ability, that kind of like sucks the life out of him. . . he needs blood"

"But he's throwing up"

Jay didn't answer and a cry was heard before the line went dead. Why is a baby with him? Is this why he hasn't come home?

I ran downstairs to get his mother who I hope know what to do.

She took a blood bag and with her shaking hands, she tried to make Sunghoon smell the said liquid but he's still unresponsive.

"Auntie . .  please take Sunoo, I can't calm him down. . . he's been crying"

Sunghoon's mother is tearing up as she took Sunoo from my arms who's still holding tight on his father's collar. I have tried to make him calm down but he won't. He must not cry that hard for a long time.

"Son . .  please, respond . ."

"Auntie please, Sunoo can't cry this long. . . I have an idea. . I want you to trust me"
