I was crying in my pillow as I held my wrist where he bit me. I didn't know but it felt nice and that's the thought that made me stop crying and just smiled.

I cheered myself up by the thought of saving my mate and his son. At least I'm not really useless.

The next morning, I woke up to find no Jay around. It's just Sunghoon's mom in the kitchen making breakfast.

Sunghoon is also fully dressed for work as he fed Sunoo some warm porridge.

"Jake. . . here, I made breakfast for you . .  I'm sorry if you will not like it but Jay is not here this morning ."

"Thank you . . you don't have to . . I'll eat well"

She smiled and went to Sunoo to take him from his father for Sunghoon to have some breakfast as well.

After the meal, I was about to head to my car when Sunghoon stopped me.

"May I come with you? . . "

He just nodded and Sunghoon sat on the passenger's seat. But again, before he could even close the door, Sunoo was again crying as he can't see his father anywhere.

"He is a clingy baby"

Sunghoon sighed as he stepped out the car and into the house as I can't help but smile at the two. They look adorable.

In the end, Sunoo ended up seated on Sunghoon's lap and his grandma is in the backseat as they locked the doors and we drove to the office. Sunoo was just babbling and giggling the whole ride and I was curious how vampire babies grow up because as Jay mentioned, Sunoo is just one month old.

But he can see and can even sense his father and can babble a few non existent words. He can also recognize people.

I am driving with them for the first time and I am lying when I said that I'm not enjoying it. Hearing those high pitched squeals are a music to my ears.

Vampire babies are quite different from what I expected. I mean, they grow too fast but too slow at the same time. While wolves just grow up like humans does and age like humans. Vampires don't seem to age at all.

I wonder what will happen if there is a vampire-wolf baby. What could be the possibilities?

Wait what?

Why did I suddenly thought of Sunghoon and I?

We reached the building and I went to my office to check on some things when Jay texted me to come to his office immediately. So I did

I ran to Jay's office and when I reached there, he's busy texting someone.

"Jay! What is it?"

"I have an emergency and I must leave now. . . hey Sunghoon"

I look back and indeed he's standing behind me.

Now what?

"Listen, I have an emergency and I have to go now so I called you two to leave you in charge of the house. I will still be here in my office everyday but I won't come home. I have to help a friend of mine and I want to end this madness of a certain human being. Just please look after each other . . ok? I have to go now. . I'll call you"

He left the area as Sunghoon and I just stood there and still in question of what really just happened.

He will not be present in the house. What will it be in for me? How can I possibly survive without him for me to run into?
