Third Person POV
The green ninja trudged up the stairs, his injuries from weeks ago still paining him. Although the pains in his chest were so bad that he could barely move his arms, maybe it wasn't entirely a physical pain at the moment.
Exhaustion- mostly pain- had been at an all time high the past few days, given that he's overused his power to try and heal himself quicker. Now though, he's kinda been forced to save as much as he can.
And with his friends' concern- and the desperate pleas from Kai not to overexert himself- he reluctantly obliged.
-
His door creaked open, and despite how much he wanted to flop onto his bed, something halted his movement.
A spider. Completely still on the ground.
He tilted his head and waited, eventually the creature moved to the side a few steps. It was alive.
Lloyd sighed and carefully walked to the side. On his nightstand sat a nearly empty glass cup. He quickly drank the rest of the water, keeping his eyes on the arachnid on the floor.
The cup was brought down and he turned fully. The spider was in almost the same spot as before.
Against the pain in his chest, he knelt down and slowly inched forward to the creature. He was a few inches away when the spider noticed and attempted to back up and flee. But, Lloyd had the cup placed directly behind him, so the creature only went in.
Immediately the cup was turned upright, and though he grunted on the way up, the blonde stood and headed for the window next to his bed.
He climbed onto his bed and placed his free hand on the windowsill.
The cup was placed on the small perch, and as the creature ran in circles around the bottom of the glass, Lloyd pushed open the window. Cool air hit his face, and he picked up the cup. He stuck his arm out the window and the lass was turned on its top, the spider falling out onto the ground.
Lloyd put his head out of the window. The spider squirmed on the ground for a moment but eventually stood upright on the bright lime grass.
A small smile reached his face as the spider turned around. It seemed to observe the new environment briefly, before scurrying away somewhere else. Lloyd's never been too cruel with bugs, though being able to save something during his recovery (from what you ask? jay and cole-) made him at least a little satisfied.
On the subject of saving someone...the pain in his chest returned.
It wasn't true pain, he'd been feeling that anyway.
He lean't back into his room and pushed the window closed.
No, this pain was in his heart.
The lights were off, and the same amount of light seeped in from the window, but for some reason, it felt darker.
Why didn't it end?
He fell to the side, laying onto his blanketed mattress. Turning to face the ceiling, he sighed and brought a hand to his heart. 'He'll be fine...he'll be fine...he's done this before, he'll be fine...
...why do I feel like this every time?'
-
Lloyd isn't sure when he fell asleep, he only knows that when he heard his name being called from downstairs, he stood up faster than his injuries preferred.
