[THIS WAS NOT WHAT THE REQUEST WAS MEANT TO BE BUT SEE WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS---

The plot I planned out- along with what I already wrote-- which was not even half of the summary-- was reeeeaally fookin long, and I didnt want it to take longer than the six days its already been- so that is now three parts, and this is this- sorry!]

Third Person POV

Lloyd reluctantly got out of his bed; prying himself away from his "sleeping" boyfriend, limping towards the door across the room.

He didn't get far before leaning up against one of the many bunk beds, grunting a little at the stinging agony he felt everywhere.

Cuts and bruises still feel almost as bad as they did hours ago, the only pain reduction they've got on the Bounty being simple bandages.

Yes it's been hours, but they're still in the process of flying back home.

'How far did they even take me...how'd I not wake up the whole time...'

He sighed, but continued the embarrassingly short rest of the way to the door.

A wave of cold wind smashed against him, almost making him fall backwards.

As he was about to fall, strong arms wrapped around his waist, holding him upright.

It was Kai.

"I told you to stay in bed, you're already hurting.." he mumbled.

Lloyd sighed, smiling at how caring his boyfriend was and leaning his head further onto his shoulder.

He took a moment to breathe in the fresh air before leaning forward and closing the door, blocking any more wind from getting into the already lukewarm bedroom the two of them shared with the others.

The blonde giggled as Kai pulled him closer. "What's gotten you so clingy now?" he asked, although he did know the answer.

"Hush... the bigger question is, how are you so calm?"

The aching memory of it all burned in his head...

Before he knew it, he was panicking.

~

"Hey, hey, look at me."

The calming tone of the voice snapped Lloyd back to the present. He felt a familiar hand on his shoulder, and looking up he was met with caring golden eyes. Those eyes brought nothing but joy to the green ninja, but the brunette possessing them, was frowning.

"You alright?" Kai asked, seemingly for the third time.

"I, uhm-" he cut himself off with a gasp as Kai's hand moved to cup his face. The brunette only does something like this when he wants Lloyd to tell the truth, of if he knows he's about to lie.

"...no...sorry." he said truthfully.

Kai shook his head, "No, it's not your fault." Before Lloyd could respond in any way, his love pulled him closer once again and hugged him tightly. "I shouldn't have said that, I'm the one who should be sorry." he said quietly. "You shouldn't feel obligated to apologize, not after something like this."

He spoke in a soothing tone, a lot quieter and softer than when they're around the others.

This alone would've made Lloyd tear up, but he began sobbing once he felt Kai stroking his hair.

He cried into the brunette's shoulder, letting tears out for the first time since it happened while the red ninja whispered sweet nothings to the blonde.

About five minutes passed when Lloyd's crying degraded into shaky breaths.

At that moment, Kai pulled away but didn't stop touching him, rubbing his shoulders as he stared into his glossy green eyes.

"You're safe." he reassured him. "You're okay."

Lloyd sniffled, smiling as a thank you. "I'm...safe...and I'm okay.."

"There you go." Kai moved closer so that their foreheads were touching, and mouths were only inches apart. "Can you say that again?"

"I'm safe, and I'm okay."

"Perfect." he wiped the remaining tears from Lloyd's face and kissed him softly. The blonde moved into the kiss immediately, wanting to be as close as possible to the boy he loved.

Lloyd pushed Kai back onto the bed, laying on top of him with their lips still connected. When they finally parted, the two stayed there, panting but never breaking eye contact.

The green ninja placed his hands on either side of the latter's face, eyes filled with longing and love. "Please tell me I won't ever lose you." he whispered.

"I'll always be here for you, Lloyd." They smiled, and Kai began attacking the blonde's bandaged neck in kisses. Lloyd hugged his boyfriend's body tightly, giggling.

Kai shifted their bodies so the two of them are on their sides, with Lloyd still up against the brunette's body, with no intention of letting go. He held the blonde as tight as he could without hurting him, wrapping the blanket around them both.

Soon enough, sleep took over the green ninja, who thankfully slept soundly with his head in the crook of his love's neck.

Though he wished he could stay in Kai's arms forever- and Kai would love nothing more than to hold him forever, that won't happen.

This moment was perfect, although they both knew the truth.

They can't ever stop fighting, protecting the city, risking their lives every other week it seems.

It was- and still is- all true, but right now is what's important.

Lloyd is okay now, he's happy. And so is Kai.

They're safe.

And that's how it will be, at least for now.

(wasnt what i planned but I hope you enjoyed it still!)
