"What's this?"

(y/n) holds up a piece of scrap metal that she pulled from the ruins of the former Lab. At first glance, it doesn't appear to be anything special. However, upon closer inspection, a small, somewhat faded inscription can be found.

(y/n) examines it for a moment, trying to read it.

"Uhh... is that a T or an R." she wonders, "Well it's either Matomma or Maromma, that's a start,"

(y/n) wanders around the ruins a little more, after taking a picture of the inscription. She doesn't find many other clues and using a flashlight as her only source of light only slows her down. She takes a few pictures of the lab as a whole from different angles in hopes of finding something useful later.

(y/n) searches the ruins a little more, only finding a few items that she hopes will give her leads. The first thing she finds is a wallet. It's burnt beyond recognition and has nothing that could identify who it once belonged to, though (y/n) does find the brand name.

The second item is the remains of a different machine. It's small, only the size of her hand, and spherical. The metal exterior is burnt and dented, though the machine still lets off a faint flicker of blue light if you shake it.

The third and final object she deems important is a piece of paper. It's torn up and faded, making it extremely difficult to tell what was once written on it, though she hopes that upon further investigation, someone will be able to tell her.

She places all the items into an evidence bag she brought along and immediately heads to the police station.

"Ah, Phoenix! How can I help you?" Detective Tsukauchi greets the hero.

"Hello Detective, I just brought some things by I was hoping you could examine for me. It has to do with that new case." (y/n) explains.

"Wow, that was fast. I'll get on it right away," The detective exclaims, taking the bag from (y/n).

(y/n) thanks the detective and leaves the building.

Having nothing else planned for the day, and with how early in the morning it is, (y/n) decides to return to the hotel to change. She does, changing into a nice but comfortable outfit, suitable for a casual day out.

The young woman happily makes her way to a nearby coffee shop to finally enjoy a proper breakfast, seeing as she only had a single cup of coffee before leaving the hotel that morning.

(y/n) chooses a small coffee shop about halfway between the hotel and the police station. It's a quaint little shop painted all in pink. Ivy climbs up the brick walls, giving the building a very cozy feel. The hand-painted sign serves as the finishing touch, tying the whole design together.

(y/n) enters the small cafe and is immediately met with the delightful scent of coffee, cakes, and cookies. The cafe is mostly empty, only a couple of students quietly studying are present.

(y/n) walks up to the counter where a very familiar barista is preparing some treats.

"Goodmorning and welcome to the Rosewood ca-(l/n)?!"

"Goodmorning to you too Uraraka, and it's Bakugo now."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Uraraka apologizes, "how have you been? I haven't seen you in years."

"It's fine and I'm fine, how about you?"

"I'm good too, but I should get back to work before my boss gets mad at me," Uraraka replies, "what can I get for you?"

(Y/n) places her order and waits in the designated area. After maybe 6 minutes (y/n)'s food and drink are ready. She takes it to a small table near the window to peacefully enjoy her meal.

(y/n) pulls out her favorite book and begins reading where she left off.

"Adira! Grab my hand!"

"I can't reach you!"

"Hello, Mrs. Bakugo,"

(y/n) looks up quickly, startled by the sudden voice. Her (e/c) orbs meet with the detective's black ones. (y/n) calms down and offers a polite smile.

"Hello Detective Tsukauchi, what are you doing here?"

"Just getting some coffee, I had a difficult morning so I figured I'd grab some before going to the station," The detective explains, holding his mug close. He takes a sip of his coffee as (y/n) contemplates something he mentioned.

"Before you go to the station?" She questions.

"Hmm?" The detective questions without words.

"You said 'before going to the station',"  (y/n) clarifies, "that implies that you haven't been to the station yet?"

"That's right," Tsukauchi confirms.

"But that's impossible, I saw you at the station earlier today. I gave you the evidence I gathered for examination." (y/n) explains, now putting her book away.

"That's impossible, I never went to the station this morning," Tsukauchi says, slowly standing up. (y/n) follows his lead, placing her book in her bag though not taking her eyes off of the detective.

"The who was at the station this morning?"

There's nothing but silence for a moment. Sensing the tension, the others in the cafe look towards (y/n) and Tsukauchi. Uraraka, being a pro hero herself, steps toward the pair.

"What's going on?" the gravity-girl questions.

She only receives silence in reply as both (y/n) and Tsukauchi process their conversation.

Suddenly...

"We have to get to the station!" Tsukauchi cries out. He runs off with the two pro heroes close behind.

"What just happened?" a customer questions.

"Something we shouldn't get involved with." another replies, returning to their book.

...

The detective and two pro heroes run through the streets towards their destination. Upon reaching the police station where detective Tsukauchi works they all run through the entrance.

They weren't expecting the sight that lay before them.
