(3rd POV)

Bakugo glares at the building his wife is inside, almost as if the mission would be over if he glared hard enough.

Katsuki loves working, just not when he has to just stand there. He enjoys the thrill and adrenaline he gets from fighting villains. He loves showing off his powerful quirk and how amazing he is. He works hard, and he gets satisfaction from people recognizing how amazing he is.

He craves recognition and praise, it's always been who he is.

Once he met (y/n), however, the compliments felt different. They never felt real to him, almost like they were forced or there were ulterior motives behind them.

Her's felt real.

Every compliment felt genuine, and they didn't ever sound forced. They truly meant something to Katsuki.

He saw potential in her quirk early on and agreed to train her. Their relationship developed slowly for a high school love story, but it lasted much longer than the usual high school relationship.

And now they're married, with children at that.

Katsuki is suddenly pulled from his thoughts by the green-haired hero near him.

"Phoenix has been in there a while, hasn't she?" Deku asks, concern lacing his words. Katsuki growls, but he can't help but agree.

It's been too long. She should have called in, either to report information or to tell them to proceed with the plan. Katsuki scans the building for any sign of his wife, but nothing catches his eye.

"Should we go in and look for her, or do we stick to the plan?" Deku asks.

Katsuki growls and glares at the building even harder. He wants to go find her. He wants to cancel the plan and rush the building, quirk blazing.

But he knows he can't.

He's not the one leading the mission.

"Call Kirishima," the blonde says reluctantly, "he's in charge, but mention that she's been gone for too long."

Deku is surprised, to say the least, but not in a bad way. For his entire life, Bakugo has never allowed himself to be a follower. He never answered anyone; he always did what he wanted.

(y/n) has changed him, for the better.

Deku nods, a bright smile on his face. He jogs towards Kirishima, Bakugo screaming at him about his 'stupid grin.' Deku can't help but chuckle at the childish antics.

It doesn't take long for Kirishima to agree with Katsuki. Todoroki decides to remain outside and watch the main entrance/exit. The other three heroes don't bother with stealth, they just storm the base.

The men check every room, though Katsuki is the only one with something to look for. He searches relentlessly for his beloved wife.

Finally, in a cell-like room, he finds her.

"TEDDYBEAR!"

...

(Y/n POV)

Saving this man on my own is much more difficult than I originally suspected.

The moment Toga and Reisha left the room, I jumped down from the vent, landing silently on my feet. I quickly make my way over to the man, immediately checking his pulse and breathing.

His breathing is shallow and his pulse is dropping.

I have to hurry.

I grab a few medical supplies from my belt and swiftly wrap his wounds. For now, I have to stop the bleeding, so I wrap them tightly to apply pressure. I finish quickly thanks to years of practice. I assess the situation.

This man doesn't have much time. The bandages aren't enough, he needs a hospital ASAP. I can't contact anyone as long as I'm in this building, so I should find whatever is jamming the signal. It's probably someone with an electric-type quirk since Kirishima never mentioned the league stealing a jammer from him. They could've taken it from someone else, but no other major robberies have taken place recently, and the average person doesn't have a signal jammer on hand.

I come to the conclusion that unjamming the signal is my top priority. Then I can radio for medical assistance while I search the rest of the building.

I peer down at the man.

I can't leave him alone.

Acting upon the thought, I scan the room a bit more.

Knives.

Needles.

A metal straw?

Rope!

I grab the rope and use it to tie the man to my back. With him there, I can't return to the vents, so I'll have to sneak through the main hall.

I carefully open the door, expecting some sort of noise. Surprisingly, however, the door opens silently. I guess they keep this place in decent shape.

Peeking my head into the hall, I find it empty. No guards, no villains.

Let's hope this luck keeps up.

...

(3rd POV)

(Y/n) run's through the halls, silently and quickly.

At least, as silently and quickly as she can with a grown man on her back.

She keeps her eyes open wide, constantly scanning her surroundings for people. She listens for footsteps, but the only noise she can hear is the soft hum of the ventilation system.

A few more twists and turns. A couple more corners. An endless amount of doors.

Finally, a new sound.

Buzzing.

And a voice.

"Project C47, success."
