"Goodnight Daddy,"

"G'night, dad,"

"Goodnight kids. Sleep well and only get up if you need something."

"We know."

Katsuki closes the door to the twins' shared bedroom, a small smile on his face until he's out of the sight of his children.

He sighs and collapses onto the couch. His thoughts immediately turn to his beloved wife, (y/n). How is she doing? Especially now that the Yakuza is involved.

The Yakuza...

The Yakuza is the Japanese version of the Mafia, and Katsuki is familiar with both.

And he knows (y/n) is familiar with them as well, more so than he is.

(y/n) has always been hesitant to share information about her past. He learned most of the information about her father and brother, though she hadn't uttered more than a word regarding her mother. She loved her mother very much, though she was hiding something.

It wasn't until two months into their marriage when she finally came clean about her mysterious mother. Katsuki still remembers tears that streamed down his wife's face and the fear in her eyes.

Katsuki doesn't know who she was afraid of, him or her mother.

Katsuki sighs, silently cursing the dead woman for what she's done to (y/n).

Though, he also praises her for raising (y/n).

Knock Knock

Katsuki growls, wondering who would be knocking on his door so late. He begrudgingly gets up and walks towards the front door. Upon opening it, he's greeted by his wife's friends and coworkers.

Amethyst greets Katsuki with a bright smile and wave, still full of energy despite the late hour. Ruby gives Katsuki a small polite smile and a nod as a greeting, with noticeably less energy than her twin.

"What do you want?" Katsuki asks, "don't you have patrol or something?"

"I actually do, but Amethyst insisted I come along," Ruby says.

"Anyways," Amethyst begins, "A package came to our agency earlier, but it has your name on it."

Katsuki raises an eyebrow and eyes the large item wrapped in brown paper. It's addressed to the Flamming Dreams agency, just as Amethyst explained, though it is strange that it's meant for him rather than Amethyst, Ruby, or (y/n)...

(Y/N)!

Katsuki immediately grabs the package and pulls into the living room, not bothering to close the front door. Not knowing what else to do, the two women follow him with a shrug.

Katsuki rips the paper frantically, revealing a very familiar object.

"Isn't that (y/n)'s suitcase?" Amethyst questions.

Katsuki growls.

Something's wrong.

He opens the suitcase carefully, somewhat afraid of what he may find. He refuses to show his fear, though the quick deep breath he takes gives it away.

Inside the suitcase is most of the (h/c)-haired woman's belongings, though one thing sticks out.

The carefully placed envelope addressed to 'My beloved husband, Katsuki Bakugo.'

Shaking at the possible contents, he hopes that his wife didn't do what he thinks she did.

Upon opening the envelope, Katsuki quickly yet carefully reads the letter.

...

Uh-oh.

"I have to make a phone call," he grumbles, dropping the letter as he walks away.

Amethyst and ruby look at each other, confusion and worry written on their faces. Ruby quickly picks up the note and reads it aloud.

"To my love Katsuki,

I know you told me to be careful, but I've always been reckless. You know that better than anybody. I'll always go for the option that I believe is will be most successful, even if it's dangerous for me.

Even so, I promise that even if the odds are against me, I'll return. I'll always come back to you because you stayed with me during my most difficult times. You showed me love and I loved you in return. You've given me the greatest gift I'll ever receive, a family of my very own.

I love you Katsuki. I love Aiko. I love Hiro. I love all of you."

Amethyst and Ruby look at each other. Ruby hands Amethyst the note and says, "tell me what happens," before leaving for her patrol that she, unfortunately, can't skip.

Amethyst nods and walks to where she assumes Katsuki is. She finds him talking on the phone with an irritated look on his face.

"No, I can't wait until next month. I need a flight to Japan for tomorrow. It's an emergency." He growls quietly into the phone. Amethyst is thankful he has enough restraint not to yell at the top of his lungs since his children are sleeping a couple rooms over.

"Are you ok?" The purplette whispers. Katsuki turns to look at her and sighs. He hangs up the phone and shakes his head.

"I know what (y/n) is doing and she's going to get herself killed," he explains, "I need to get over there and try to either help her or find her."

Amethyst frowns, "can't get a flight?"

"Tch, no..." he growls, clearly getting more irritated.

Amethyst thinks for a moment, then her eyes widen.

"What about the agency jets?" she asks. Katsuki's eyes widen and he immediately pulls out his phone again. He quickly dials a number and waits impatiently for the other person to pick up.

He talks for a while before turning to Amethyst with a frown.

"Mine is out in France," he explains, "how about yours?"

Amethyst pulls out her phone and calls the Flamming Dreams employee line.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Leighanna, quick question."

"Of course."

"Where is the company jet at the moment? I need it for something?"

"Let's see...It's here, I can call the pilots right now if you want. Where do you need to go?"

"Japan, ASAP."

"... Is something wrong with (y/n)?"

"Probably."

"That girl is going to get herself killed..."

"Not if we can help it. I have to go, call the pilots. Dynamite is going to use the jet."

"Understood, I'll make the arrangements. I can have everything ready for 3 am."

"Thanks, Leighanna, you're a huge help."

With that, Amethyst hangs up and turns to the impatient blond.

"Pack your bags, you're going to Japan. Courtesy of the Flamming Dreams Hero Agency," she says with a bright smile.

Katsuki grins, gives Amethyst a quick thanks, and rushes towards the kids' room.

Amethyst smiles sadly. She turns to a picture of her missing friend.

"(y/n), you're going to be someone's death. Be it ours, or your own."
