"We're glad you're here, Bakugo," Nezu says to the explosive blonde in front of him, "and it's wonderful to meet you, young Bakugos."
Aiko and Hiro both nod politely, though they observe the bear-mouse hybrid cautiously. The twins have been on edge since they learned the reason for their sudden trip to Japan (accidentally when they overheard their father talking about it with Aizawa over the phone.)
Katsuki sighs, holding his children's hands as he glares at the pro heroes in front of him.
"What happened exactly?" he questions, struggling not to yell.
"We don't know why Phoenix went rogue," Eraserhead explains, "She attended the meeting and everything appeared normal. I didn't really see her after that."
"She got to work immediately," Detective Tsukauchi adds, "she handed in the evidence she found for examination, though Toga had disguised herself as me and took the evidence while I was at home. The only lead we could salvage was from a picture on her phone. It was an inscription from the Maromma Yakuza."
That's the Yakuza group then, Katsuki thinks to himself, I know what she's doing.
The group discusses their next moves and come to an agreement.
Katsuki would focus on finding his wife and the local heroes would not interfere. The rest of the heroes involved would continue their investigations.
While Katsuki is working, Aiko and Hiro will be under the care of Recovery girl at UA. They will be tutored by Nezu so they don't fall behind on their schooling.
Katsuki reluctantly agrees, though Nezu has one more catch.
"I would like Red Riot and Chargebolt to help you,"
"No, they'll just slow me down."
"Dynamite, need I remind you that you do not have a Japanese hero license, you have to obey our conditions and you cannot work freely." Nezu reminded.
Katsuki growls, Nezu is right. After a moment of irritated silence, he finally speaks up.
"Fine..."
...
I can't believe that EIJIRO KIRISHIMA of all people is the leader of a Yakuza.
(y/n) doesn't react, at least out loud.
Mentally, she had a thousand reactions at once.
Shock, for the obvious reasons. Eijiro Kirishima, the smiling sunshine that did what he believed in. He always talked about being 'manly', so, is this manly to him.
Fear, because he's a capable fighter. Her weapons would do nothing against him if they fought. He's also a capable liar, as he's hidden this secret from society while pretending to be a hero.
Relief, because seeing a familiar face is calming, no matter the situation. Though not as much in her current position.
"So, you're the new recruit," Kirishima observes.
(y/n) nods, though she doesn't speak right away, for fear he'll recognize her voice.
Kirishima cocks his scarred eyebrow, "can you talk?" he questions.
"Yes," (y/n) replies, quietly yet confidently.
Kirishima nods and smirks. He stands from his throne and stalks towards (y/n). He circles the young woman like a lion circling its prey. He observes every inch of her, spending a large amount of time on her eyes and weapons.
"Hmm, you must be a skilled fighter with all those blades," he observes before grabbing her chin, "And your eyes...wow."
(y/n) blushes at the compliment, she stares at the man as he backs away and smirks. Upon realization of reality, she quickly shakes her head to rid it of any thoughts.
She intends to be faithful to her husband, she can't allow herself to feel attracted to Kirishima.
For a moment, Kirishima's eyes seem to widen, though they return to normal quickly.
"Alright, you wanna work for me, I'll need to see what you can do first," he explains, "I'll meet you in the sparing room in five."
He motions for someone to lead (y/n) to the sparring room. (y/n) nods to her new boss and follows her guide. She's led to a single door only a single hall away from the main room. The other worker opens the door to reveal...a bathroom?
(Y/n) stares in confusion. She hears a hearty laugh resonate through the hall and turns to see the silhouette of Kirishima waving at her. She glares at him and returns her attention to the bathroom. The worker enters and turns to the bath.
She gives it two kicks, waits three seconds, and then kicks five times.
The bathtub lifts, revealing a staircase.
(Y/n)'s eyes widen in amazement, it's an interesting place to hide a secret base. She follows the worker down the stairs to the main base of the Maromma Yakuza.
The underground base is far larger than (y/n) expected and far busier. Workers walk back and forth through the halls holding papers, weapons, and boxes. Some run with frazzled looks, others are calm, not sparing the others a glance.
It's difficult to follow the worker guiding her through the crowd since most are wearing the same suits, so (y/n) cannot afford to take in her surroundings. She focuses on the woman in front of her, refusing to move her eyes from the back of her head.
After a decent walk, (y/n) is finally at the sparring room. Her guide steps to the side and allows (y/n) to enter. Though (y/n) is a tad skeptical, she enters the room.
The sparring room is quite bland. The back wall is lined with cabinets, likely for holding weapons. The right wall has benches for resting. The corner connecting the two walls holds a fridge, likely filled with water bottles or sports drinks, perhaps both. (Y/n) recalls that Kirishima also enjoys protein shakes, so she presumes there might be a few of those as well.
Finally, the floor is padded and a large ring is marked in the center, sparring arena no doubt.
The door opens.
"Not bad for a sparring room, huh?"
(Y/n) turns her head to meet Kirishima's piercing eyes. She nods, it is better than she expected.
"Well then," he begins, walking towards the benches, "let's get ready."
