(Dabi POV)

Work sucks, it always does.

I wave to the latest customer I helped as she walks out the front door. Finally, It's three. I decide to use my last break now since I need a breather before I burn this entire store to the ground.

I hate retail.

I quickly make it to the break room, but my break turns out to be anything but restful. The moment I sit in the cheap plastic chair, my phone starts ringing. At first, I ignore it, but my anxiety gets the better of me.

What if it's important?

I sigh and answer. To my surprise, a young boy answers back.

"Uncle Dabi!"

"Hiro?"

"Yes, I need help. Aiko and I are lost and we're trying to find Mom and Dad. What do we do?"

Now, I panic. It's night in Japan and those kids are alone? They're looking for their parents?

I take a few deep breaths. I need to make sure these kids are safe. So what can I do?

...

I got it.

"Hiro I need you to listen very carefully and do exactly what I tell you, ok?"

"Alright Uncle Dabi."

"Good, first, where is Aiko?"

"She's beside me."

"Alright, make sure you guys stay together. Now, look around. Do you see a bench, like at a bus stop, or a store that's still open?"

I hear Hiro repeat my words to Aiko and him humming in thought. Soon, I hear Akio say something in the background before Hiro talks speaks again.

"There's a Mcdonald's here. It's on the other side of the road."

"Perfect, go there but don't hang up. Look both ways and hold hands,"

"Ok, can we buy something?"

"Only if you have money, and only something small."

"Yay!"

...

"Ok, we're here, but the door won't open."

"That's fine, are the lights on, and is someone inside?"

"Yeah, there's a lady in there cleaning."

"Alright, knock on the door so she can hear you."

"Ok. 'Knock-knock' Ok, she's here now."

"Can you pass her the phone?"

"OK, Uncle. Here miss."

...

"Hello?"

I sigh in relief at the young, but certainly an adult, voice.

"I'm sorry miss, but could you let my niece and nephew wait in the restaurant for a bit? They ran away from home. I'm going to call my sister to pick them up."

"Oh dear, of course, they can wait here. This is the tenth street Mcdonald's, by the way."

"Thanks. My sister's name is Fuyumi. She has white hair with red streaks and she wears glasses."

"Alright sir, I'll wait with them until she gets here."

"Thanks again. I'll call her now. Can you put me on speaker so I can say bye to the kids?'

"Sure... there you go."

"Bye Aiko, bye Hiro. Stay safe, Aunt Fuyumi will be there soon to pick you up."

"BYE UNCLE DABI!!"

I smile at their enthusiastic voices. After hanging up, I sigh.

Those two take after their parents. They're just as troublesome and determined.

I quickly hit Fuyumi's contact. She picked up after five rings.

"Hello?" Her sleepy voice asks. I feel a little bad for waking her but this is more important than sleep.

"Hey sis, no time to rest. I need you to head to the tenth street Mcdonald's. Aiko and Hiro are there."

"Wait, what? Aiko and Hiro?"

"Yeah. Look, the twins ran away to look for their parents. They're waiting at the Mcdonald's so could you pick them up. I'd do it myself, but I'm not in Japan."

"THEY RAN AWAY!!! I'LL BE THERE AS SOON AS I CAN!!!"  And with that, she hangs up.

(Hiro POV)

The nice lady let us in. Aiko wanted to sit down in a booth, so we did. The Lady said her name is miss Kokoro. She brought us chocolate ice cream sundaes for free and told us to yell if we need anything. She has to keep cleaning.

I finish my ice cream after Aiko, and we just wait for Aunt Fuyumi. We haven't seen her in a really long time so we're excited to see her again.

Aunt Fuyumi doesn't visit a lot because she takes care of her mom, but they do visit sometimes.

I don't know a lot about her, but uncle Dabi has told us stories about her and his family when they were little. He says that they are all super strong because they were hurt when they were kids.

There's a knock on the door, and miss Kokoro opens it.

"Kids, I think your Aunt is here," she says. I quickly turn to look, and Aunt Fuyumi smiles back at me.

"Aunt Fuyumi!!" Aiko yells, running towards her. I follow too. We Give Aunt Fuyumi a great big hug and she hugs us back.

"Alright little troublemakers, let's head back to UA," Aunt Fuyumi says. I don't want to go back, but I can't tell her before Aiko yells.

"No, we don't want to go back there," my sister yells, "they treat us like we're babies!! If you have to take us somewhere then we want to go home with you instead!"

...

"Alright, fine," Aunt Fuyumi says, "Let's go back to my house."

"YAY!!"
