(Y/n) watches Kirishima with curiosity as he reaches for the bottom of his shirt. She realizes what he's doing once he starts to pull it off and she immediately turns around to give him privacy.
"Embarrassed?" Kirishima asks. (y/n) can hear his smirk and it irritates her. She scoffs in response.
"I have respect, sir. So I'm giving you privacy."
"I see," The man replies, "well, thank you."
Kirishima finished preparing himself quickly by putting on a pair of black fingerless gloves after removing his shirt and he took the liberty of changing into a pair of shorts, though (y/n) is certain that he was wearing them under his dress pants.
(Y/n) places all her weapons on the bench near Kirishima's belongings, though still about an arms-length away. She walks to the ring where he's waiting for her to begin the spar.
The two silently get into fighting stances and observe the other.
For a fraction of a second, (y/n) swears she saw his eyes widen.
...
"Wow, you're as good as they say, even without weapons," Kirishima says through panting breaths, "I haven't had a fight that difficult since... never mind. Gather your things, I'll show you to your room."
(y/n) nods and obeys. She follows Kirishima through the halls. He leads her through a plain-looking hall with seemingly endless doors. A few workers walked out from some of the rooms and (y/n) notices that the doors lead to bedrooms.
She assumes that the rooms are for the workers, so she's confused when Kirishima leads her to a different hall with fewer doors.
The raven-haired man stops in front of an extravagant, wooden door. He gestures to it with a grin.
"This will be your room," he explains, "Get yourself settled, tomorrow you have your first mission."
(y/n) gives a curt nod and enters the room.
It's a much more lavish room than the others she saw.
It's far larger than she expected.
The room is coloured with cream walls, matching with the brown rug placed beneath the queen-sized bed on the opposite wall. A small round table in a corner has a single-serve coffee maker sitting atop it, along with a single plain coffee cup and a bouquet of fake flowers.
(y/n) smiles and makes her way over to the cupboards, which are near the table. She opens them to reveal a few boxes of her favorite coffee, a container of sugar, a bag of oats, and some of her favourite cookies and pastries. She opens another cupboard to reveal it to be a fridge in disguise. A container of her favorite cream, yogurt, and berries are already placed inside.
(Y/n) stares at it, confused. Everything is too...perfect. Everything she's found is foods that she'd eat for breakfast or as a casual snack. Sure, maybe it's a coincidence, but even the coffee and cream are from her preferred brand.
Quickly, (y/n) makes her way to the door she assumes leads to the bathroom. She's correct and immediately examines anything she can find.
The toothpaste is the same as she normally buys.
Her preferred hairspray is here.
There are pads!?
Now she's hyperventilating, there's no way this is a coincidence.
(y/n) tries to calm herself down. She's always had bad anxiety, but she's learned how to manage it. She takes the necessary deep breathes and thinks of things that make her happy.
Kittens...
Aiko...
Hiro...
Katsuki.
She takes one last deep breath and clears her head.
Don't let it get to you, she reminds herself, that's what he wants, to get in your head. This is... a game of chess. You need to play this smart. Predict your opponent's next moves and plan accordingly. If he gets in your head, it's game over.
(Y/n) looks around again, how would Kirishima have learned all this? It's possible he, or one of his men, went through her luggage, though nothing was ever out of place when she looked in her suitcase.
He could've spied on her, but she hasn't gone shopping for essentials since she arrived in Japan.
He must've been told by someone, but who would tell Kirishima her personal information.
Unless no one told him all this information.
What if one of her friends works for him.
(Y/n) starts sorting through anyone who would know about all these things.
No one in Japan knows enough about her so it has to be one of her friends from America. She lost contact with a lot of her former classmates and didn't make many friends since, so the list is short.
Katsuki wouldn't tell anyone, nor would he join the Yakuza, even if Kirishima runs it. Of course, her children are off the suspect list immediately, she doesn't even consider them.
Mya is her closest friend, and she certainly knows these things about her. Even so, Mya isn't the type to betray her. Plus, Mya doesn't have any motive.
Amethyst doesn't know all this information. Though she has visited the Bakugo residence before, her visits are usually short and she doesn't go further than the living room. Amethyst is still extremely kind, but she's become more self-absorbed since high school and tends not to pay as much attention to those around her.
Ruby may still be reserved, but she's even more observant than her high school days. She notices everything about everyone. It's kind of scary but she's the only one (y/n) can think of who could provide any info to Kirishima.
There's only one question: What would her motive be?
(y/n) and Ruby have maintained a wonderful relationship since graduation. (y/n) doesn't know what she could've done to warrant such a betrayal from Ruby, though she doesn't write off the idea immediately.
But, it can't be Ruby.
Right?
