POV Haziran

I am again disturbed in my reading almost an hour later, when Burak comes to see me, visibly uncomfortable.

- Did you know about the gym? He asks me.

- Which gym ?, I inquire by sliding the bookmark into the book.

- I don't know ... Poyraz just returned with a punching bag and told me he was thinking of setting up a gym in one of the rooms still under renovation but that for now it was a personal purchase .

- No, I didn't know, he didn't tell me about it. Where is he ?

- Certainly in the room under renovation in question ... He looked like he needed to knock something.

- To this extend ?

- He... He spoke with your mother. He admits. That's why I thought I should come see you.

- How's that ? I'm surprised.

- Well, we were working and she asked to speak to him alone. And, right after she left, Poyraz drove off, looked confused and came back with the punching bag.

I sigh, wondering what a bad trick my mother could have played again.

- Thank you, Burak.

- It's normal, Haziran abla.

I head for the part of the hotel where there are still three rooms under renovation and the noises caused by his knocks on the punching bag tell me where he is. I knock once on the door before opening it in stride. Poyraz is there, shirtless, his hands bandaged, and hits the bag with a rage that looks more like despair. He stops when he sees me come in and I lean against the door I just closed, questioning him with a patient gaze.

- So a gym ?, I start when he doesn't say anything.

He sighs.

- Excuse me, I promise I was going to talk to you about it before I did anything about it. This is a personal purchase, I plan to take it with us when we buy the house, but in our hotel room, there is not really place.

- It wasn't a reproach, Poyraz. And yes, a gym is a good idea.

He nods slowly.

- What worries me the most is what got you in this state...

He still doesn't say anything.

- I know my mom talk to you. I reveal. So what if you tell me what she might have told you ?

He looks me straight in the eye before explaining their conversation to me.

- She didn't told me about it because she knew I wouldn't fall on the trap, I know her too well, so she's gone after you. I state.

- Maybe that was a trap, I don't say otherwise. But no matter if it was, because she's right.

- Excuse me ?

- She's your mom ! Every mom wants to be by her daughter side on her wedding day and even before that, help with all the organization, choose the dress etc...

- We talked about it before the wedding. At the hospital, we have talked about being married without my mom and your grandma, remember ?

- Of course I do, but I didn't even thought about that !

I just stand here watching him with disbelief and disappointment.

- It's normal they are pissed off if we look at things from their point of view !

- From their point of view ? I repeat, with shock. So now you understand their point of view ? You understand them scheming behind our backs in order to prevent us from being together, not wanting us to be happy, and everything ? You're talking about this point of view ?
