I was different. A bad different. Nobody liked me. I was always picked last. I was an outcast, and a popular outcast, at that. If that doesn't make sense to you, let me explain. I was we'll know in my school, and it wasn't the good kind, obviously. I was known for my weird and different looks.
Ever heard of the red hen? I think it was called that, anyway. It was a story about a hen with red feathers and we'll, no feet. She just had stubs, and that's all she had to support herself for walking. The other hens picked on her, and would attack her any time they would see her. That's the case with me.
Anytime, and I mean anytime, someone sees me and has the balls to do it, they beat me. Not like a mental or game kind of beat. But physically beat me. It wasn't the worst I had, since I was raised poorly by my birth parents. They beat me so bad one time, the neighbors heard my cry's and the cops showed up.
They got arrested for abusing me and I was sent to an orphanage. The kids there treated me better than anyone has ever, and I grew to like it there. Soon I was adopted, and I've had a safe and nice life ever since. Well safe and nice at home, that is. At school is a different story.
I sighed as the old memories of my parents flooded my head, giving me a minor headache. I groaned quietly and rubbed my temple's, trying to sooth it away. I huffed and grabbed my skateboard from underneath me, walking the rest of the way into the school.
Just as I had expected, lots of stares and lots of rude whispers. And like I said before, it wasn't a first for me. I ignored it all as I walked to my locker and put in my numbers before swinging it open and shoving my stuff inside. Once I was done, I closed it and turned to my right where the locker had been blocking my view, and saw the group of popular kids.
They never gave me shit, surprisingly. It was a first, since most people took any chance to say or do something rash. But no, they just stayed cool and did nothing mean to me. Kinda nice, I had to admit.
I didn't notice that I was starting too long, until one of them made eye contact with me. I quickly looked away and headed down the hall as to not cause any trouble for myself. Not that the popular kids were known to be rude, but at this point in my life, I can't trust anyone except me and my new family. Which was just a single widow.
Yeah, her husband died a long time ago, and she really wanted a kid at the time when he passed. But she couldn't have that now that he was dead, and in her vows she stated she would never love another man, and she kept her vow. She adopted me, and I watched as she grew happier everyday. And...it made me happy, knowing that someone loves me for who I am.
It's sad really....only one person in this entire world wants me.

"Dude, just ask em' out already." I heard Brian say. I quickly looked to him and frowned in confusion.
"Huh?" I asked. He gave me a 'you're dumb' look, before taping Anthony's shoulder.
"Hey, do ye see what I see?" Brian asked. Me and Anthony gave him a confused look before he spoke.
"Depends, what do you see?" Anthony asked. Brian gestured to me and shrugged.
"I dunno, just that Jhonny boy er' has gotten himself a crush." Brian said, chuckling a bit. I raised a brow as Anthony nodded and crossed his arms.
