Third pov -
"Jonah, dear, what are ye doin' over here?" Nogla asked, walking over to the small child that wandered near the river. The said child looked up, a bright smile finding his lips as he looked to the tall man.
"Father Daithi, have ye seen te fishes? They're beautiful!" The tiny boy exclaimed, leaning over and pointing to the small tadpoles that nested the edge of the sand. Nogla chuckled at that.
"Jonah, I'm not a Father. Not yet at least. And those are tadpoles, not fish." He said softly, looking down at the little boy with adoration. He's always loved kids. They were a reminder of God's newest work. Full of Innocence and care.
Uncorrupted by the harsh world's elements.
"Tadpoles? Then why do they have tiny tails?" Jonah asked, tilting his head up at the man. Nogla sighed, taking a seat on the floor next to the child.
"Well, they have a process. They start as tiny eggs. When they hatch, they have tails. Then they grow feet and arms. And when that happens, their tail goes away, and then they turn into frogs." He explained cheerfully, smiling at the amazement on Jonah's face.
"Wow! How come?" He asked, curious. Nogia laughed at that, reaching his hand down and scooping a handful of the tiny fish.
"Nobody knows, but God. He made them that way." He answered, showing the child up close. He made another face of wonder, staring at the fish before Nogla decided it was time to head back.
"Let's go back inside, Jonah. It's getting chilly out. Plus, we're having ye're favorite fer lunch." He said, setting the tadpoles back into the water.
"Yay! Spaghetti-o's!" He giggled, already running towards the church. Nogla laughed at that, flicking his hands to rid of the water.
