Third pov-

The world was cruel. No one could deny it. It was very evident. From the air pollution, oceans full of waste, the shootings that felt like they happen almost every week.

There was a million things that could be listed to prove that this world was doomed for extinction.

Many people is this word were toxic. Only making the matter worse in the world with their selfish and narcissistic behavior.

Though, if you were to find any hope in the world, it would be a miracle. However, it's actually quite often if you know what you're looking for.

A simple good morning to a passing stranger. An extra tip to the waiter or waitress that served your food. Helping someone when they dropped their books in the middle of the school hallways.

It was easy to be nice, as easy as it was to be mean. Most people don't see it. Or most people don't care to do it.

For David Nagle, he likes to think of the glass as half full. Always positive, loving, energetic, caring.

Despite the e hell he's been out through in all his years of living because of what he was, he was a actually a very high hopes kinda guy.

He was a neko. A rare male Neko.

He was born on the streets, along with his family. They had to stay in hiding, or they could get kidnapped, or sent to an adoption center.

His family lived in secret for more than ten years, until they found his family and took them away. Luckily David was smart enough to stay in his hiding spot, but he oh so badly wanted to help his family.

At that moment, one look from his father said he should do other wise.

He was alone. Lived and survived on the streets for the rest of his life.

He was now all grown up, knowing the streets and way around town like the back of his hand.

He was a street cat. And he enjoyed it. Of course he misses his family, but he just hoped that they were taken to a nice human that would feed them well and keep a roof over their heads.

Nogla spent most of his days in his cat form. It was easier since most people were willing to leave a stray feline alone than leave a stray neko alone.

Nogla hopped from the tall wooden fence, down to the pile of junk that stood beside it. He mad his way from the wobbly crates, to the large box he had been staying in.

It wasn't home, but it had to do.

Nogla huffed in exhaustion as he lied down on the old quilt placed underneath him, whining in content as he started to nibble on the chicken leg he managed to beg from the butcher that liked to sell fried meat on the side of the road.
