Marcel's pov-

I told them it was a bad idea. I've said it, many many times. Not like they listened once, though.

I even tried to lie to them, telling them that I had a bad case of phasmophobia. Even that didn't work.

Phasmophobia. That's the whole reason we're in this situation. That God damn game.

Horror games weren't the 'to got to' genre whenever we play together on game nights. It's usually something cheerful and more competitive.

Like Minecraft, call of duty, Apex, warzone. Hell, even among us would be an acception.

But no. Last week, Jon decided he wanted to play some Phasmophobia.

Don't get me wrong, it was fun. The gameplay went great, not a single computer error occurred --surprisingly, Evans didn't crash once-- and everything went smoothly.

We had posted our videos like usual, and that was that.

It was only when we finished recording, that Evan asked that damn question. That stupid, ass, fucking question...

°°°

"Hey, do you guys think it would be this easy to ghost hunt in real life?" He asked.

I looked up from my cup of noodles, making eye contact with him through the FaceTime on discord.

I hummed, swallowing the rest of my mouthful and wiping my mouth with the back of my wrist.

"Naw dawg. I feel like it would be harder." I said, taking a quick chug from my water bottle.

Jon perked up at that, looking away from his phone.

"Huh? How come? I feel like it would be way easier." He said, leaning back in his chair, eyes pointed up at the ceiling.

I shrugged, leaning over slightly to make sure my recording had ended. I didn't want to add even more for my editor to cut out-- along with the girlish screams Brian had asked for us to not put in.

Though, I don't think it really mattered, because I knew Evan was gonna keep the screams in his video anyway, and no way Clyde was gonna take them out of Brian's.

"I dunno. I feel like ghost aren't as active as video games make them out to be." I replied, shrugging one more time before, like Jon, leaning back in my chair.
