Luke's pov-

I sighed as I put my gun away, slipping it into my glove compartment. I rubbed my eyelids with my palms, huffing as my phone rang. I looked at the caller id, to see Bryce's name. I pressed the accept button and put the phone up to my ear.

"Hey Bryce, what's up?" I asked, changing my tone to sound happy.

"Hey! Luke, how's it going?" He asked cheerfully. I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Pretty good actually. Me and Rocky finished a heist today. I didn't even got shot once!" I cheered. Bryce laughed and I could practically hear him shaking his head at that.

"Well I'm glad. You seriously need to calm down on those rush runs though. It's not good for your heart. You could get an attack from the adrenaline." He lectured me. I groaned and leaned my head against my heart.

"Oh come on Bruce, you know I can handle it. Plus, I love the rush." I said, staring out the window as I spoke. Bruce sighed on the other line and chuckled.

"No you love a person. You can't love something that can get you killed." He said, trying to make a point. I clicked my tounge at that.

"I don't need nobody to love. All I need is my gun and fast food restaurants. Now that's love." I said with a smirk. I laughed as Bryce mumbled in disappointment. It's just so fun messing with him.

"Well anyways, I've gotta go now. Have a great Valentine's day Toonz!" Bryce said happily. My smile faltered at that.

"Yeah, you too." I said. And with that, he hung up. I sighed and tossed my phone in the passenger seat, before I pulled out of the headquarters drive way. I drove down the street, looking at closed down shops and such. The roads and buildings, and even some of the houses were decorated with pink and white lights, hearts and bird shaped cut outs placed in every window.

I groaned and looked away from the sidelines, keeping my eyes on the road. I don't know where I was going particularly, just somewhere I can get away from all this lovey dovey shit. I then caught a glance of the brightest pink light in the street.

It caught my attention, and I turned to see a small building. It almost looked like a club. I hummed as I saw the bright logos of two male signs. They were intercepting eachother. It was a gay strip club.

I stared at the place for a few seconds, the sight going out of view as my car passed it. I drummed my fingers on my steering wheel for a second before cursing as I turned harshly.

What? I'm alone, might as well spend the night with a bunch of other lonely people, right? As much as I didn't want to be in a place filled with drunk horny people, it beats being alone on the highway shooting bottles of beer stood up on boulders.

I took out my keys as I grabbed my gun, slipping it in my holster. I stepped out of the car and into the cold wind. The parking lot was packed, me having to weave around cars. There's a lot of lonely people here, huh.
