Drunk on the wind and the waves
Precious memories I'll forever save
The freezing cold breeze lashes me
But it fills me with the warmest glee
The sun sets in shades of red and yellow
The waves are both harsh and mellow
The boat bounces to the rhythm of the sea
And I've never felt so happy and carefree
The flowing waters and pretty orange sky
I wish I could at the same time swim and fly
All my worries flew away, forgotten
And so did all the problems I'm caught in
The laughs and smiles of all my family
My anxiety turned to bliss like alchemy
I stopped to take a break from the strife
And I can say I had the time of my life

When I went on vacation with my family last year, we took a 3 hour deckboat ride on the open sea, and it was honestly the best experience of my entire life. The feeling I had on that boat is indescribable. The breeze, the waves, the laughing, the food. It was amazing. As soon as I was off the boat I typed up this poem about it
