Bliss and Misery,

It's a cycle of Bliss and Misery

Been the same through all of history

A failure and then a victory

We are all fighting through wars

We lose some battles, we get deep scars

But don't you ever give up on yours

We win some battles, we shine like stars

Waves reach their crest, they reach their trough

Things heat up and then they cool off

Yes, every high will ultimately pass

But a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

So just hold on tight

And don't forget to put on a fight

Because the future is a mystery

In this cycle of Bliss and Misery

Yes, this is the poem that inspired the title of this book! The quote "A thing isn't beautiful because it lasts" was actually said by Vision, a character from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). He said it in reference to humanity, and it has always stuck to me ever since I heard it. I am scared of death, and for some reason this quote comforts me a lot in that matter. And it makes so much sense! If flowers never wilted, if the sun never set, if we always happy, then those things wouldn't be special and beautiful at all! I know it seems obvious, but it really makes me feel better about all the good things that end.
