The temperatures are rising up
The population is wising up
But no corporation seems to care
And government policies are rare
Powerful men still wage stupid wars
Haven't we changed from when we rode a horse?
They kill, they maim, they destroy everyday
And others say 'So sad' and just look away
People die of thirst, of starvation
People die of preventable conditions
But some still question if the earth is flat
If vaccines work, and other pointless chats
The rich become richer, the poor live on roads
Corrupt, greedy politicians, there are loads
It really does feel like The End's quite near
If I'll even have a future, is what I fear

Every time I look at the news, I have a small crisis. It feels like we're doomed, everything's just dying, and no one who can make the change is actually bothered. Lands drown and the air is becoming poisonous but they'll still say "It could hurt economic development!" But, if there is no future for the development to be made in, what's the point? And these days, I really do doubt humanity will get through this century
