All Might had frowned more so as the battle continued, the reason being that he could see and smell the melting flesh of Kuro who was still under AFO's control. While Kuro attacked him head on, AFO attacked leisurely. Throwing attacks while controlling Kuro's movements.
Every single one of them were waiting on an opportunity to move, to save their friends, students, or lover. They were anxiously waiting.
"Come on Kuro..!"
All Might struggled to defend against his student's attacks, he wanted Kuro to fight against his commands all on her own and he knows she can do it.
Seeing the scene in front of them, the students in hiding were dead stuck in their place. Unable to do anything, they continued to peek onto the battlefield in fear.
"Kuro please!"
"Haha! It's no use All Might! You can't reach her, she can't even hear you in her state!"
AFO continued to laugh while commanding Kuro like a puppet on a string, following their masters orders without complaint. It was 2v1, with Kuro fighting All Might head on and AFO supporting her, cutting off All Might in his tracks.
"I know my own daughter All Might, I knew there would come a day where she could leave my sight....so I planted a few little - well several - commands in her."
"...what?"
All Might was in disbelief from the news, what did he mean a few commands? Inside her?
"She was never free from my grasp All Might, I always knew where she was."
All Might was shaking from the truth he was given, his strength slowly leaving him as his thoughts ran wild.
Kuro was never free.
She was never been saved.
He always knew.
Kuro was played into thinking that she was free, that she was finally away from him all this time but that wasn't the case, he had her under his control all this time. And that he was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to bring her back again while killing his obstacles in the way.
All Might was angry.
He was furious even.
"How could you!"
"Hah! How could I you say? You have no right to say that!"
AFO struck him but All Might dodged.
"You turned your back on this very child to chase after me but then what? You failed to even catch me!"
The man laughed as he reminisced that scene. All Might was confused, what did he say?
He turned his back on her?
Him?
Seeing All Might's confusion made AFO laugh even more.
"Let me jog your memory."
"A few years ago, you were chasing me all across Japan. But then, you saw a child covered in bandages, looking confused, all alone in an alley with only a pink bunny in her hand."
All Might's eyes widened, he could not believe it.
"I think you were a bit of a rookie back then I believe? It was funny seeing your 'iconic' bunny ears right after seeing my child."
AFO waved his hand and gestured towards his daughter.
"If I remember correctly, the words 'Bunny hero' were used?"
