Kuro Usagi Point of View
"We have a big class today, on hero informatics." Aizawa-sensei said once we were done with the greetings.
'Informatics?' I thought in confusion and looked at my classmates to see them panicking- well some of them at least.
"You need codenames." He trailed off and I probably felt the tension in the room go silent.
"Time to pick your hero identities." The caterpillar teacher said and everyone jumped in joy, out of their seats while I scrunched up my face in thought.
'An alias eh? What name should I use?' I thought until Aizawa used his quirk which made everyone go back in their seats quietly.
"This is related to the pro hero drafts picks that I mentioned the last time we were in class together." He said as he placed his hands on top of the platform in front of him.
"Normally students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not until their second or third year actually but your class is different." He explained and I wore a lazy smirk.
'Interesting.' I thought as I examine the faces of my classmates, seeing as they wore smiles, frown and even a smirk on their faces.
"In fact, by extending offers to first years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential." He continued and I got bored that I made small tiny shadow creature- about the size of an apple and shaped its form.
"Any offers can be rescinded if they change their minds before your graduation though." He finished and many others complaint while I made the final touches with my little creature.
"So, what you're saying is we still have to prove ourselves even after we got recruited." Someone said and I stopped before looking ahead to the conversation.
"Correct, now here are the totals on those of you who got offers." Aizawa replied then pushed something that made these polls appear on the board.
'Offers? Wow, I really am not listening to anything today.' I thought and just finished my creature and placed it gently onto my bag before focusing at the task at hand.
The board listed that me, bakugo and sho had the most offers while the others are just meh. It showed a huge gap with the others and I got second, wonder how I got that many.
"In past years its been more spread out but there's a pretty big gap this time." Aizawa pointed out and I couldn't help but giggle when kaminari shot his head back and complained.
"That's amazing, you must be proud." I heard unintentionally as momo talked to sho. A feeling of pain suddenly shot through my chest and I couldn't help but feel angry? Wait, why am I angry?
"These offers are probably because of my old man." Sho replied without looking at her and the pain suddenly went away. What was that about?
I shook my head and slapped my cheeks lightly before getting out the creature I made earlier.
"Despite these results, you all will be interning with pros got it? Even those who didn't get any offers." Aizawa firmly said and I felt him glare at me. Guess that means I can't get out of it.
"Oh, so we're all interning?" Izuku asked and thankfully, I felt the glare went away.
"Yes, you already got to experience combat with real villains during the attack in the USJ facility. But it will still be helpful to see pros at work, up close in personal in a field, first hand." He said and many others cheered at the sound of more training.
"These hero names will likely be temporary but take them seriously or-" He was cut off by the sound of opening doors and of course the voice of the one and only rated r hero, midnight.
