Chapter 66

Kuro Usagi's point of view

Endeavor and the other heroes ordered me to stay in the hospital when they found out about the gash on my side—and I wasted a perfectly good stamina on making a small shadow to keep it hidden.

They had wrapped my stomach in a bandage as well as my hands as they had bruises and cuts but it was normal for me, though I let them do their job.

At the last second too but it was fine, seeing as I get to stay with the others, at least I wouldn't be alone.

To sho's dismay, we didn't get to cuddle but we were all in the same room so it wasn't much that bad.

I was the first to wake up and the sun wasn't out yet. Thankfully, one of the heroes gave me a book yesterday seeing as it will take probably a few days for my wound to heal — though I could heal it in one move but I didn't want anyone to know that since I wanted to be with sho.

I heard shuffling and I looked to the others to see that sho had woken up, he carefully sat up and gestured for me to come over to him and so I did.

He scooted a little to the side to give me space and I sat down next to him. He hugged me and let his body go limp on me.

"Are you okay? I heard about the gash..." He whispered and I nod at him as I hugged him back.

"I'm fine, you know I could just heal myself but you're still here so..." I said as I traced circles around his arm.

"Do you wanna go back to sleep?" I said to him and I felt him shook his head, I got in a more comfortable position on his bed and let him lay on my stomach as we wait for the others to wake up.

A few hours later, they woke up and immediately questioned our position. Sho had his head lay on my stomach while his hands wrapped around my waist as for me, I laid my back on his headrest while I read my back and drawing circles on his arm.

"Did you sleep midoriya?" Sho asked as he sat up more beside me, I helped him lift up his body next to mine.

"No, not really." He replied and lifted his leg up properly on the bed.

"Me neither..." Sho said as he clenched his fist on his hospital gown. I wore a small frown as I looked at all of them, each wearing a look of fright and sadness.

"Thinking about that fight now, we did something pretty amazing." Midoriya said as he looked up the ceiling as I saw his arm shook.

"You all did..." I said as I brought up a hand to sho's hair as he looked down on his lap.

"After everything that happened back there, it kinda feels like a miracle that we're even alive..." He said once again and we made no replies.

"With my leg messed up, I was probably an easy target and could've easily killed me if he wanted to." He said as he gestured to his injured leg that's wrapped around in bandage.

"Yeah, seems to me he let us live on purpose." Sho replied as he lifted up his injured arm.

"I was actually impressed by you Iida, he was actually trying to murder you but you stood tall." Sho commented to him and Iida looked at him surprised.

"That's not true, I was..." He started but I cut him off.

"I think the reason why... St— I-I mean the hero killer let us live is because, h-he saw potential in all of u-us, in all of y-you..." I said as I hung my head low, cursing myself for that slip up as tears fell from my eyes but I quickly wiped them.

"Kuro... Are you okay?" Midoriya asked me as they all looked at me in worry, especially sho.

"Hm? Oh yeah! I'm perfectly fine! I'm just.... really caught off guard when you know.... that happened." I said as sho gave me a side hug.
