The next few days, Kuro was still left in lockdown by the government while Aizawa took a week leave from his teacher work in order to sort out papers given by the government seeing as he is the only legal guardian of Kuro.
The whole class of 1-a were in shambles, none talked and everyone were focused on their studies. They couldn't bring themselves to talk about the elephant in the room, they tried to forget the incident or the truth however some couldn't bring themselves to forget.
Todoroki was one of the few people who couldn't forget, how could he? When the closest person he has ever been with has kept this big secret? Has lied about her past to him? And didn't even think to tell him?
It hurts him just thinking about it and so, he did the most logical thing to do. Bury himself in work, in his studies and his training, even goes as far to ask Endeavor for help.
"Can't believe she was a villain all this time..."
"U.A. got infiltrated...are we even safe?"
"I knew there was something wrong with her."
Comments like these would always reach their ears and nobody had the will to even defend their "friend". Were they even her friend? Or was she only pretending to be?
Of course Bakugo would sometimes mutter curses in response because inside, he still believes that she was true to them. He has seen her act out of kindness even when no one was looking, and even when they were captured by the people she knew.
They were all hurting, even some of the students from Class 1-B who knew Kuro, even the staffs who had the pleasure of meeting her. They were all hurt from the truth.
They all had the same thoughts.
"Was it all just a lie?"
They wanted to get an answer or just someone to tell them personally that it wasn't a lie, that she wasn't lying to them. And that she was being true with them all this time.
And all the while they were thinking that, Kuro was crying to herself everyday. They still chained her feet to her bed but she could walk around the room now, and there wasn't a single day where she didn't ask about her friends.
And they would give her the same answer all the time.
"We don't know."
She waited patiently, stayed quietly for any news. For any good news about the situation.
She had so much time to think, to repent, and to overthink that it was draining her mind. She was tired, she was slowly losing hope again. To think she even thought for a moment that maybe everything would turn out good.
However, let's give Aizawa a big round of applause for handling everything so well despite the situation.
The amount of hard work he has been putting for Kuro, the amount of effort and care he has been giving her while taking care of the proper procedures to make sure Kuro wouldn't get arrested to Thanatos, the same way her own father was imprisoned there.
The moment Aizawa was back from his leave, Class 1-a was waiting patiently for any news about Kuro even though they did not say it. Despite the confusing incident, they still wanted to know if she was okay.
The second Aizawa placed down his journals on the desk, he looked at each and everyone of his students. He took a good look at them and remembered how much care Kuro held for them that she was even willing to fight against the authority of her father.
"I'm sure you have a lot of questions."
"You may be conflicted knowing the truth about a certain someone...but I'm here as her guardian, not your teacher."
Aizawa bowed to his students, to the children who went through so much that he couldn't help but tear up a little knowing how much trouble they've been into. Trouble that risked their lives just to survive.
"Kuro Usagi has told me to reveal everything about her. And she has given consent to tell you all first before I reveal anything to the press."
"...So please, I ask you to keep an open ear to her story."
And thus, Aizawa told them everything that was ever known of Kuro.
To her past of being AFO's daughter, to the experiments and torture she's been put through, the ideals that her father has forced on her, up to how she came to enroll in U.A.
"The thing about Stain's and Kuro's relationship is true."
The whole room went silent at the confession, although they now knew of Kuro's origins, they still weren't sure about her relationship with Stain.
"I understand that some of you has encountered Stain in a life-threatening way, however he wasn't like that at all. Stain woke up a few days ago, just recently..."
Aizawa tried to think of a way to explain to them that the Hero Killer incident was not his true self. When he had heard from Kuro about the truth right about they finished internship, he could not believe it.
He even doubted her the way people has been doubting her recently, but he realized it in the end thankfully. And now, he was the only one who could help her and spread the truth, and that's what he'll do.
"Kuro met Stain a few months before she enrolled, and he changed his actions thanks to her. Which is why we haven't heard any news from him last year up until that incident. Just like Kuro, he was being controlled."
The scene of talking to Hero Killer: Stain popped up in his mind, when he heard news of Stain waking up from his paralyzed coma, he asked for permission to talk to him. Knowing that Kuro cared for the guy.
"Kuro knew not to tell you all of that because she knew people would not believe it, the circumstance were not in their favor to even defend themselves if the people attacked them."
He let the class take all the information he has been spewing, he knew it left them all confused and that they wouldn't be able to accept them entirely as of right now. So he left it up with time.
"Kuro...has always been a true kid, despite her origins and circumstances. She was always true to those she held dear. She may not have told you everything about her, but she did not lie in order to deceive you."
"She has always been afraid...afraid that if she told you all the truth. You'd disappear from her life and resent her. And despite that, she was still brave enough to form connections to people who may betray her at any moment."
"I'm sorry Mr. Aizawa but I just find it so hard to believe. To keep all those secrets from us? Something that big?"
Kaminari slowly said his mind on the matter and some looked away like they were caught red handed.
Aizawa couldn't say anything else, he knew it was really hard to accept all of it. Even he had a hard time when Kuro revealed everything to him.
"So you're just gonna abandon her?"
Bakugo stood up in rage.
The only person who felt Kuro's care and sincerity when they were both captured by the villains.
