Chapter 29

Last time *still in shoto's point of view*

"Did you happen to know Kuro from somewhere before?" he asked and my eyes went wide a little as I try to think on how he guessed that right.

".... Yes, how did you know?" I asked actually curious about how he got that information.

"Based on what Kuro had told me about when she lived near the woods, she saw a boy with white hair on his right and crimson on his left and his eyes were two different colored too. Sounds familiar right?" he said and I turned away, I can feel his eyes bore into my skull and I meekly nod.

"Mind telling me what happened?" he asked me and I looked at him confused.

"But I thought she already said everything to you...." I said and he only shook his head.

"She wasn't comfortable telling me all the details so she didn't say anything but I am interested on why you were looking for her that day." he said and propped his elbows on his knees and I feel heat coming up to my face, because someone thought I was stalking her.

"Well...... I was out on the woods because of my father, endeavor and as you know our family is not quite in a happy world." I started and he only nod, wanting me to continue.

"Out of frustration for my father I went out of the woods... I was in my thoughts when I heard some singing so my curiosity got the best out of me and I followed the sound." I paused as I remembered the time when I saw her and brought a small but noticeable smile on my face.

"Then I saw Kuro on the woods singing to some animals and I accidentally stepped on a twig and she must've heard it because her head snapped into my direction and out of reflex I hid behind a tree." I continued the story as the memory of her singing went up to my head.

"I saw her visibly shake and then she stood up and suddenly she was gone." I finished the story.

I didn't tell him about the other encounter I had with her, the one where I saw her helping a bunny and her shiny bracelet I found on the woods and also the time when fuyumi and I took care of her.

"Actually I think she doesn't recognize me at all or she actually doesn't care but knowing her I think she doesn't know me." I said and fidgeted with my thumbs.

He only nod then we heard footstep on the stairs and we saw Kuro going down the stairs rubbing her eyes and yawned but she stopped when she saw me sitting here.

Her outfit was now completely different when I took her to her bed, maybe she changed out of her costume when she woke up. Her eyes was still red from what I guess what happened earlier and she still looks drained.

"Oh shoto, I didn't know you were coming." she said and arrange her hair in a messy bun.

'Actually I carried you to your house.' is what I actually wanted to say but I didn't want to embarrass her so I saved her the pain.

"Hmm, I was actually here to see if you were alright after the villain attack back at the USJ, you know." I said then there was an awfully awkward silence after that. So I stood up and grabbed my things.

"Well I must be going then, I think I stayed long enough." I said and made my way to the door, once I opened it and was about to walk out Kuro called out to me.
