I've never actually been to the Horrortale castle before. It was a new experience for me. There was many monsters who were cleaning the place up in exchange for food that Azila was handing out. It seemed to work for her, seeing as there was nobody trying to eat and kill her. She flinched, naturally I was one of the skeletons who hunted her down along with my father and uncle, upon seeing me approach. "H-hey B-Bitter.." She stuttered. Though she knew I was the friendliest of the three of us, knowing that Horror was my father was definitely a dampener. I supposed I was fine with that though. I'd be afraid of me too if I tried to befriend the son of a deadly, starving, and very overprotective skeleton monster. I leaned on the counter. "Hey Azila! How are you doing?" She fidgeted, glancing around. "W-well... I'm not dead yet... what are you wearing?" I looked down, realizing I was still in Blueberry's clothes. "Eh, it's a new wardrobe I thought I'd try out." I straightened out. "Is there anything I can do to help around here?" Azila smiled.

That's how I ended up mopping and scrubbing blood off the floors of the throne room. Apparently my father was talking to Toriel about who should really be taking the throne. Since he overthrew Undyne, monsters saw him as the next ruler. He wasn't sure he wanted the responsibility though, thus his meeting with the ex-queen. My uncle was in the kitchen cooking food for the starving masses that were now working to rebuild our world back to it's former glory. Or at least, as close as we could to it without the C.O.R.E facility. I was afraid of what father would do to Alphys once he decided to turn his attention to the place. Would Nightmare and the Star Sanses attempt to repair it? Classic maybe? Our future was still uncertain. But at least it was getting better. I smiled lightly. This was progress. I stood up to change the bloody water, and my clothes while I'm at it. I'm Bitter after all... not Blue. I never was Blue in this life. I only hope everyone else can come to accept that within time.

I got back after changing into my old outfit. Father, uncle, and Azila were all talking and someone must have taken care of the rest of my cleaning supplies, because nothing was there. "-she's denying the throne. don't think she deserves it after all the humans she poisoned." Father was saying as I came in. "WE ALL DID BAD THINGS BECAUSE OF THE C.O.R.E'S POWERDOWN, DOESN'T MEAN WE CAN JUST GIVE UP ON THE KINGDOM."
"You're right. That's why we aren't giving up on the kingdom." I replied, catching the attention of the other three. "BITTER!" Uncle Papyrus scooped me up and squeezed me. "Mweh heh heh! I missed you too, uncle!" I hugged back. "how ya feeling?" Dad asked. "I'm good. Great actually! Anything else I can do to help?" Horror regarded me with curiosity. "i mean, there's plenty of stuff to be done, but why are you here? i thought you'd be at..." I understood where he was getting at. "I'm needed more here right now." I said simply as I was finally put down. "Where shall I start, your highness?" I teased, mock bowing. Horror rolled his eyes. "can you man a food stand in snowdin?"

So at Grillby's, I set up my station. The fire monster was looking worse for wear, but he was happy that food had suddenly started coming in. For the first time in a long time, he had customers. He himself being one as he was also consuming the food I'd been given to hand out. This is the most civil I'd ever seen my people. I was worried there'd be fights for food but no, they waited, that devoured, and waited again for more. I was kind of proud. Then Nightmare came in. "thought i'd find you here." I beamed. "Hey, what's up Nightmare?" I should be scared. This guy had mad me suffer all my life, but I'm not. I know it wasn't really him and in an odd way, the corruption that had consumed him had also helped me with my identity issues. Not to say this it wasn't terrible, I am glad it's finally gone, I'm just... I know who I am now. "so... what are you going to do now that you're free? there's no real need for the star sanses anymore now that we've been stopped. what au will you stay in?" He asked.
