The afternoon was so hard. I had an exam during two hours but I couldn't think straight. My mind was so tired trying to imagine how many pounds I had lost since the beginning of the week, and my body wasn't following as well, as I hadn't eaten since Monday, and it was Thursday.

When the exam was over, I had written only few lines and I stood up slowly to give my paper to the teacher. When she saw the few lines she stared at me with a frown. "That's all you are giving me?" I nodded feeling sorry, but I was too weak to find an excuse. But then, she started to yell at me, saying that I was never working, I was lazy because I was sleeping at every classes... The other students were staring at us, and I was feeling worst than ever. I apologized and left the class quickly, but my head was spinning and everything was blurred around me. My hearing faded and I felt myself hit the ground.

I don't recall what happened after, until I heard a woman screaming from the other side of the schoolyard. "Move away !! Get out ! Let me through !!". I suddenly recognized the voice of Miss Paulson, but like yesterday, I was so weak, I couldn't open my eyes or move. The noises of the students around me faded and I felt the warm hand of Ms Paulson stroking my cheek and the other one holding my right hand. "Honey it's okay, I'm here sweetheart." then, I heard the voice of my teacher who just yelled at me "Oh my god! Someone call 911 !".

I heard some other teachers stepping next to me and they called 911. "Yes... She passed out... No... She's still unconscious... Her name is Gabrielle Evans... She's nearly 18... Yes..." while Ms Paulson was still stroking my face and squeezing my hand "Wake up honey, wake up." She was weirdly calm, I think she was the only one that had already saw me collapse before and the only one to not panicking, she was trying to calm everyone down.

I slowly opened my eyes to her beautiful face, staring at me with a worried face and a slight smile. "Gabrielle, you scared us honey." She stroke my hair again and the ambulance arrived. She stood up while the paramedics were taking my vitals, and she talked to one of them in a low voice. "She is not eating, she already passed out yesterday but ever since I haven't seen her eat... Well, I have never saw her eat." The paramedic looked at me and I didn't hear the end of the discussion because I lose consciousness again.

When I woke up, I was in the ambulance. I started panicking but I felt someone squeeze my hand. I looked up and saw Ms Paulson. "I'm here, don't worry Gabrielle I won't leave you". She said, still worried.

"Where are we going ?" I weakly asked, already knowing the answer.

"To the hospital honey. You fainted two times in two days, that's not normal." She answered.

"I- I don't want to go, I want to come b- back home..." I said shaking.

"You know it's not possible, you know we need to go and check on you sweetheart. But I promise, I'll stay with you the whole time. Okay ?" Tears filled my eyes as I started to understand I'll have to eat.

We arrived at the hospital pretty quickly and Ms Paulson didn't let go my hand. She held it the whole way around the long corridors. We stopped in a room where a doctor was waiting for us.

"Hello, I'm doctor Robbins, I'll take care of you honey. Okay ?" I nodded. "Can you tell me your name, age, and in what year we are ?" She asked while lighting my eyes with a little light, probably to check out my vision.

"I'm Gabrielle Evans. I'm 17, nearly 18. We are in 2021." I answered weakly.

"Great. Now can you tell my what exactly happened ?" She asked. I stared at Ms Paulson, and started to cry. She wiped my tears with her thumb, still holding my hand. "Come on honey, you can do it."
