Chapter 5 Abandoned

The next day, the duo is having a regular time in school. So far, there is no problem between the two of them. No death stares, no hate thrown to each other. All students are writing on their books while the teacher is giving lessons to his students.

Just in time, the bell rang and school dismisses. The students greeted the teacher while packing their bags after that. Meanwhile, Ivy finished packing her bags and walked over to Nesby, putting her mouth close to Nesby's ear and whispering something.

After Ivy finished, Nesby's face turned shocked while she looked at Ivy, unbelievable at what she just heard. "Are you sure about it?"

"Yup, meet me at the school gate once you finished packing your things,"

"Emm, okay then," Ivy left the scene, leaving Nesby still in shock. She can't believe what she just heard. Minutes ago, Ivy walked over and whispered: "Follow me to the woods if you want to reconcile with me," This sentence made Nesby make hard decisions.

She doesn't know if she should trust the person in front of her or not. Slowly, her bad thoughts of Ivy started resurfacing again. From how Ivy treated her to the death stares, she wanted to reject it, but who made Ivy her best friend this whole time?

In the end, Nesby decided to follow Ivy's instructions to the school gate, and this decision will end up giving Nesby a twisted and cruel ending that affects her future.

After she finished packing, Nesby walked out of the class with a lot of worries. Hopefully, her decision is able to make her reconcile with Ivy again. She followed Ivy's directions to the school gate while she saw Ivy waiting for her.

"Finally, you have come at last," Ivy said.

"What is it, Ivy?"

"Well, glad you came. I am going to bring you to the woods. Just follow me because I got something to show you,"

"Okay," Nesby's mouth shivered while is responding to Ivy. She walked in front with Nesby walking at the back. They walked out the school's gate and off to a spooky forest.

This forest is the same place where the creator disappeared ever since his last video was uploaded. Meanwhile, Ivy has one of her hands inside the side pocket, as if she is preparing for something.

They got even deeper into the forest, but Nesby is starting to feel scared and anxious about this. Her head is full of regrets, questioning why she accepted Ivy's request in the first place. If she rejected it, she would be at home studying her homework.

Nesby wanted to leave, so she tried saying: "I'm not so sure about this anymore. The forest looks scary and dark," She gobbled before continuing. "Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Relax, everything is going to be fine," Ivy walked confidently to the woods.

After a while, the two of them walked to an illegal factory. It looked abandoned, dark and it is surrounded by fences. No one knew this factory, but it was also one of the most dangerous factories they have crossed through.

"Do you see that factory right there? It is an illegal factory that no one will ever trespass before. So, you want to give it a try?" Ivy said.

Meanwhile, Nesby wants to turn back and leave this horrible place. "I'm not so sure about this, Ivy. Aren't we going to be in trouble if the school knows this?"

"Why do you have to worry about it? Besides, it's the factory that the public doesn't know. How are they supposed to know all of this happening?"

At this point, Ivy is convincing Nesby to trespass the factory, despite how hard she tried to express her discomfort to do anything like this. However, one sentence of Ivy made Nesby do it.

Ivy is still walking around Nesby, while she suddenly said this. "Aren't you the brilliant Nesby Audrey that can make things possible? Well, I bet you can do this too,"

Nesby raised her head while flipping her eyes up, letting out a moan and placed both her hands at her hips. Then, she replied to Ivy. "STOP! I'll go,"

"Yeah, you are the best,"

"Hehe," her voice gradually decreases as her scared thoughts are still dangling all over her head. The duo continued to walk close to the factory slowly. "Be careful, people are going to notice us if we walk fast,"

Nesby didn't even answer Ivy's advice at all, because she is prepared for the worst already. Just walking a few steps, they saw the factory's workers that are wearing black face mask and sunglasses. Nesby can't believe that she is doing this stupid thing, trespassing into an illegal factory just to harmonize her friendship.

Before she continues, she took off her reading glasses while rubbing her eyes, probably because it was her nap time. Then, the duo continued to walk forward.

However, things went off guard when Nesby accidentally stepped on one of the dry branches on the floor. Immediately, the sound triggered the workers with some of them taking out their guns to find out the intruder.

Nesby and Ivy wanted to leave, so they turned around. But one of the workers saw them and called the others to catch them. Nesby and Ivy started to accelerate as workers are chasing them.

Ivy quickly accelerates her running, and she is faster than Nesby, who is behind her. Nesby kept calling Ivy to wait for her, but Ivy continued to ignore her and kept on running.

"Ivy, please, wait for me. I can't run this fast," Nesby started panting as she spoke.

Ivy completely ignored what Nesby was telling and took out something from her pocket, a bottle of pepper spray. She waited for the best opportunity while they are having a distance away from the workers, and sprayed it towards Nesby's face, without her reading glasses protecting which fell while she is running.

Nesby screamed and stopped running. Her eyes are burning so much, she can't even open her eyes to see where she is. Nesby tried figuring her way out, but she stumbled a rock and lost balance.

"Ivy, where are you? My eyes are burning so much!" Nesby was calling for help while Ivy quickly ran away from the scene.

Meanwhile, the workers caught up to Nesby, who was still sitting on the ground. One of them used a small gun and shot it to Nesby's neck. The bullet is a dart that contains a radioactive substance.

Seconds later, Nesby lost consciousness and slowly fell to the floor. Her world is pitch black. The burning eyes and the prickly dart on her neck add to the pain. Now, she is all alone in the woods without Ivy.
