After Kasumi left the corner, Nesby was left on the spot, digesting what she had just seen and heard. Despite still not believing the things she heard, Nesby still stood up and walked to the basketball court that Kasumi told her to go to.
Nesby slowly walked in the streets. The more she walked, she took the hoodie and covered her head. People walking beside her just avoided her completely and bumped into her, as she is totally invisible.
After the 12 minute walk from the streets to the basketball court, Nesby finally reached the basketball court. However, her stomach starts to grumble as she can hear her stomach asking for food.
With the stomach growling, Nesby tried to dig through her pockets for money, but there is nothing inside. Without any more money inside her pockets, Nesby can only dig the rubbish bin for food just to survive the day. Because of the limited resources she can find, she can only take a meal a day.
However, when she is digging through the bin, she found a blue, worn-out ribbon inside the bin by accident. Nesby just used the other rubbish to cover up the ribbon, but the flashbacks are just flowing in her head.
The longer Nesby looked at it, the angrier she got. All of the flashbacks make her feel the pain all again. She continues to dig for food, but she will also see the blue ribbon again. In the end, she can't help but pick up the ribbon and start destroying it.
Nesby pulled the ribbon as she starts to vent her feelings to a priceless ribbon. Her head also slowly floats the bad times she had back with Ivy.
From the day Ivy went up to Nesby and become friends, till the day Ivy threw her alone in the woods. The memories are just too much to bear with. She remembers the offer Ivy gave her when she is still in Grade 1.
It all starts when Nesby is reading a book alone. She doesn't have a lot of friends, so she is a loner back then. However, Ivy walked up to her and asked: "Hey, you lonely?"
"Well, sort of. But I have already gotten used with the loneliness, so it's not a problem for me,"
"I know this might sound a little off, but do you wanna be my friend?" Ivy asked.
Nesby thought of it for a while, and she later answered: "I mean, sure,"
With the offer accepted, Nesby and Ivy officially become friends for 10 years before Ivy broke her promise and threw her friend in the forest. The horrible events made Nesby vent more to the priceless and innocent blue ribbon.
Without any realization, her eyes turned yellow again and she started putting more anger into it by tearing, scrunching and even thought of burning it, but she can't do it just because she doesn't have a lighter.
Right now, she is thinking of a way to get rid of the blue ribbon that was totally torn. Nesby turned around to see a riverside and she decides to get rid of the ribbon by throwing it into the water.
She picked up the ribbon as she walks to the riverside and threw the ribbon.
"I don't want to go back again. It is too much for me to bear," Nesby walks back to the basketball court after throwing the ribbon.
As she walks back, her energy is decreasing rapidly and her eyes are closing, as they were blinking in seconds. Once she got back to the basketball court, Nesby laid herself on the floor, looking tired.
By the time Nesby reached the basketball court, her loose, silky indigo hair was messed up as oil starts accumulating her hair, just like how she hasn't taken a shower for days. The sweat all over her is not making her feel comfortable at all.
Nesby can't understand why the innocent her will accept Ivy's offer and right now, she has to take the consequences she has to take.
"I can't understand why do I have to be here when I am supposed to be in school right now. Right now, I just wanted to fight back for justice, but..."
The more Nesby said, the sleepier she is. She slowly closed her eyes as she felt sleepy. However, Nesby still can't stop thinking of how she can't get justice just because people still think she is a monster.
In her heart, she was heartbroken because no one will think about her feelings. No one stood at her perspective to feel the sore pain that she has to go through.
When Nesby opens her eyes again, Kasumi is already staring at her, probably waiting for her to wake up.
"Since when you have been standing here already?" Nesby asked.
"Well, I am here for quite a while now, so I just wait for you to wake up in this case," Kasumi replied.
"No wonder the sky is dark already," Nesby said.
"Of course, you slept for the whole afternoon already," Kasumi said. "Come, follow me,"
"Where are we going?"
"To my basement,"
"What?" Nesby just followed Kasumi since she said by herself that she will help Nesby out.
