Chapter 15 Hard as a Rock

She felt sorry for Kasumi, who nourish her skills for so long and also the way she treated her in the first place. Around this time, her levels of self-blame kept increasing as she is both sorry to herself and Kasumi.

At this point, her perfectionist figure was shattered into pieces, as she called herself a failure.

"Well, after today, I should tag myself a failure in this case. Not only I am getting mocked, but I also can't do the easiest job that I was supposed to do. What a failure am I, huh,"

From a young age, she will always achieve perfection in anything she is doing, just because her parents are strict with anything she does. This was burdening for Nesby when she is a child, but she was willing to sacrifice anything to make her parents happy.

Little do they know, this caused Nesby to develop a perfectionist figure, which made her trigger at the slightest. Out of nowhere, she had this idea of giving up on using the nunchucks even though she used them for a few months already.

"I feel so sorry for her to teach me all of this, she spent so much time to only get a junk that can't even achieve any brilliant skills,"

Since it's been hours since Nesby was outside, Kasumi who was taking an afternoon nap, decided to check on Nesby as she firmly believes that she is still outside. As she opens the door, her guess was correct as she saw Nesby still sitting outside.

"Dude, why are you still sitting outside? You haven't even had lunch yet?" Kasumi asked impatiently.

"You know, all this time, I was just that one fricking loser, trying to learn a pair of nunchucks just to get revenge on that one friend. Right now, this stupid revenge thingy is not so important now, because I give up learning on it now," Nesby got emotional while spilling out the truth that was in her head this whole time.

"Wait, hold on, just snap out of it. Why would you give up on learning it when you have been learning it for a few months already?" Kasumi asked her.

"I felt so sorry that you have to waste your precious time to teach me, this useless piece of trash when you can just go on with your original, boring life," Nesby tried to vent out the words she wants to express while holding back her tears.

Kasumi was totally taken back by Nesby's words, but before she can digest what she has heard, Nesby continued her sentence starting with a fake laugh.

"Ha, you never know, you never know..." This time, Nesby cannot hold back her tears any longer as she told Kasumi:" You never know what I have to go through in my entire life. It was dark, I can't find anyone, I scream for help, but no one was there. I felt lonely, I feel the criticism is destroying me into pieces,"

Kasumi can only gulp as she heard every bit of the hardships Nesby has to go through. "Your parents are people around you expected a lot from you, but it is too hard for you?"

"Exactly. They treated me like labour, and all of the efforts I work for, doesn't make me feel any happier," Nesby said. "I'm so sorry that you have to see my soft side, Kasumi. But I can't handle the constructive criticisms I am receiving since the day I became a monster,"

"It's ok, Nesby, you don't have to make it like this, because I'm here for you,"

"I understood, but the pain is too much for me,"

Nesby stood for a while before she continued: "From this day on, you don't need to teach me the nunchucks anymore,"

"Ok, look, I know I might sound angry just now, but I was thinking about your own good, that's why I sounded like that just now,"

Then, Kasumi proceeded to yield Nesby with a softer tone, hoping that it will help Nsby to wake up from the current situation she was in.

However, not all of the advice was able to help her as she bluntly replied to the advice, telling her that she couldn't accept any of the hard times she faced.

In the end, Nesby stands up and told Kasumi: "You see, I appreciate the advice you were giving me, but if you never know the whole story, some of the advice might not work,"

Kasumi but her lips and asked: "So, what do you want to do now?"

"I wanted to take a walk around the streets," Nesby said. "I just need some time to process all of this,"

"Well, do you want to have something before you leave, since you haven't had anything for lunch just now,"

"No,"

"Well, okay then. But be told that you will get a stomach ache if you don't eat anything for a long time,"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Nesby bluntly replied. "I'll be back in a few minutes if I'm hungry,"

Oh, alright then," Kasumi looked at Nesby with a worried face. "I really hope she is going to come back like, safely,"
