Rosé's POV:

One week later...

I walked into my music class and Denali and the others had already saved me a seat for me at our usual table. As soon as they saw me, they all frantically waved at me and pointed at my seat.

"Hey guys!"
"Hi Rosie." Said Denali.
I sat on the chair and immediately brought my attention to our music teacher Ms. Act.
"Hello students! Welcome!" Said Ms. Act.
"Hi." We all chimed.
"This lesson we will be discussing our two assessment tasks for this term. There will be a group and solo performance."

After a few minutes of explaining, we were given time to split off into groups. The girls and I groaned as we read what was written on the whiteboard.

GROUP PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT 2021
Minimum- 2 people
Maximum- 4 people

We looked around the table and stayed silent for a while, that is until Gottmik grew a huge smile on her face.
"Why are you smiling?" Asked Olivia she glanced at Gottmik. The other girl simply whispered into Olivia's ear who in return whispered something into Kahmora's ear. The three were now grinning.

"Ok, seriously what is going on?" I asked confused.
"We were thinking that Olivia, Gottmik and I could be in a group and you two could pair off." Said Kahmora.
My eyes widened and the girls winked at me.
"Sure! If you're okay with that Rosie." Denali said smiling.
"Y-yeah! Of course!" I stammered.
"Then it's settled."

The other three walked off to another table and Denali scooted her chair closer to mine.
"Do you have any ideas for songs?"
"I kind of wrote my own song." I replied.
"Really? What's it called?"
"Devil in the Details."
"Wow! Are you gonna perform it?"
"Yeah, I think I might do it for my solo performance."
"That's so cool, I can't wait to hear it."

Denali's POV:
After a little while, we decided to try learn 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi. Rosé as a trained singer obviously took the job as vocalist while I took the rest of the lesson to find sheet music for my ukulele.

The bell rang and we then had some break time. I decided to head off to the library to find some books that would be helpful for my upcoming exams. Rosé and the others decided to go hang out outside.

As I looked through the books, I saw the girls talking with Rosé. Olivia mentioned something that immediately made Rosé blush like crazy. I giggled as she looked really flustered.

Rosé turned her head and she saw me giggling which only made her face even redder. The girls ran up to the library's door and joined me.
"Hey gorge." Mik whispered.
"Hi!" I whispered back as I looked at the four.

"Did you find the book you needed?" Asked Kahmora.
"I did, but I can't reach it." I sighed. We all looked up and I pointed at the book. "There's no ladder either..."
Mik, Kahmora and Olivia went off to try find something to help us reach the book without resorting to climbing the book shelf. Rosé looked at the book and smiled.

"I think that I could reach the book." Said Rosé.
"Well you are taller so I'm hoping you can." I giggled.
Rosé raised her arm and jumped up and barely brushed her fingers against the spine of the book.
"Damn..." Said Rosé as she stared at the book.
"It's okay, we can wait for the others to find a ladder or stool."
"No. We're getting the book." Stated Rosé.

I stepped back and Rosé once again raised her arm. She jumped up and grabbed the book tightly and landed with it in her hand.
"I GOT IT!" Rosé exclaimed.
"SHUSH!" Hissed the librarian.

Rosé sheepishly held the book out to me until a student behind her bumped into her. This caused Rosé to trip and grab my arm. We both fell back, I almost hit my head on the floor but, Rosé had snaked her hand under my head which cushioned it against the floor.

"Sorry." Rosé whispered.
"It's okay, thanks for saving my head." I softly giggled. Rosé smiled in return and her cheeks went red. Our eyes locked and everything was more silent than ever. I could hear Rosé's heavy breath and our heartbeats.

"We found a ladder." Said Mik. The three girls were holding a large yellow ladder in their hands.
"Oh- I see you got the book down." Olivia smiled.
"Are we interrupting something?" Kahmora smirked.
"Nope. Rosé and I accidentally fell." I laughed.
I stood up and helped Rosé too.
"Y-yeah, we're good." Rosé stuttered.

The rest of the day went pretty fast and I was in a pretty good mood, that is until I arrived home.
