I totally had my hopes up. The next day I thought that I could talk to Pierre. But he became so cold suddenly.

He was okay yesterday and talked about how he disliked my outfit. He even picked me up after my dinner with Daddy and Kuya Renz. I thought we had cleared the awkward atmosphere between us. I was wrong.

Marami akong tanong sa kanya. What does he mean by his remark yesterday? Why is he treating me like I'm some of a ghost? And like being hit by a car, I realized that we aren't in a relationship anymore. He can flirt or comment, but it doesn't mean that we can rebuild our relationship. It's long gone.

The book signing event for my first novel started. It was meaningful for me because my name was written on the book cover, finally. I felt like I was in a dream looking at the girls, some guys, and adults waiting for their turn.

"Hi!" I greeted the next girl holding my novel.

She waved at me. "Hello po. Sobrang ganda mo po pala sa personal. Isa po ako sa tagahanga mo kahit no'ng two years ago pa."

I gasped quietly when she mentioned what happened two years ago. The fiasco in the press conference. I threw the thoughts away. Although I've faced that trauma, minsan ay hindi ko mapigilan na magduda.

Tipid akong ngumiti. The girl was waiting for me to sign. I gulped and chuckled awkwardly. I asked for her name, signed the book, and she waved before going back to her seat.

I realized that there were people who loved my works as a ghostwriter. I appreciated that. Two hours passed, my right was already sore from signing.

"Water? You looked tired. Book signing doesn't look pretty on you," Law commented.

Gusto ko siyang paalisin sa tabi ko. I'm about to kill this guy. Should I take his comment as if he's concerned for me, or is he joking again?

I looked at myself on the screen of my phone. I'm wearing a pretty makeup look today. It's girly. My outfit is a dress again, but it's not too showy. I took Pierre's remark yesterday as a way for him to understand that I care for his opinion.

I struggled to get the bottled water because of my right hand. I was supposed to grab it with my left hand when Law did it for me.

"Open your mouth."

I gladly did. He's such a great help today. What happened?

"I think they misunderstand."

Wala akong maintindihan.

"They thought we're a couple. They squealed when I helped you with this," sagot niya habang hawak ang bottled water.

I laughed. Daesies are unbelievable. I disregarded it and replied, he's my bodyguard only.

"Hi po, Ate Kate. Hinay-hinay lang po...may nagseselos."

I looked at her lips, pointing at Pierre. Oh...is he jealous? He has his normal look—eyebrows touching, serious eye look, and jaw clenching. I shrugged the thought.
