The Untold Romance

Chapter 17.

"Kho thot kha, khrap," pang-uumanhin ng isang delivery man sa mga nurses sa nurse station.

"Mee arai hai chuay mai, khrap?" Tanong ng isang nurse sa delivery man kung ano ang maitutulong nito sa bisita.

"There's a delivery for Ms. Elisse Valerie Fondevilla," sagot ng lalaki.

"She's still not here can I receive that for her?"

"Chai, chai," pagsasang-ayon ng delivery man at iniabot ang isang bouquet ng white roses.

Makalipas ang ilang minuto ay dumating si Ev bitbit ang mga medical charts ng mga pasyente niya.

"Ahem, ahem," the nurse handed the flowers to her.

"Huh? Is this for me?" Napaatras si Ev dahil baka hindi nga naman para sa kanya ang mga bulaklak.

"Uhuh, ayee! Who's this lucky boyfriend?" Pang-uusisa ng mga kasamahan niya.

"Wait, isn't it Dr. Lustre?" Hirit ng isa pang nurse.

"Oh yeah!" Pagsang-ayon naman ng isa.

"Yow guys, relax. I don't have a boyfriend; especially not Dr. Lustre," pagtatanggi niya. She took the flowers and found a small card inside pero walang nakasulat na sender, instead a short poem:

Engulfed with sadness my heart was,

Living my life was like being behind a mask.

After reading the poem, she folded the card back again and wondered who was the anonymous sender, "Si Marcus ba? Or could it be that guy?" Umiling-iling siya to disagree with her thoughts, "imposible."

"Who was the sender, Nurse Lisse?" one of her nurse friends asked her.

She shook her head and showed the card to her friends, "no sender."

"Wait, so this means you have a secret admirer?!" Halatang kinilig na ang mga kasamahan niya.

The next day, someone ordered boxes of pizza na nakapangalan sa kanya as the receiver. She received another short poem:

Interestingly one day, a woman caught my attention.

Since then I am magnetized by her attraction.

"Wow, pizza!" Saad ng isa niyang kasamahan ng makita ang pagkain, "wait, who bought these?"

Napatingin sa direksyon ni Ev ang mga kasamahan niya bilang tugon sa tanong and they saw her reading another card.

"Ohhh! Another gift from Mr. Secret Admirer?"

Ngumiti ang mga ito nang may mga panunukso sa kanilang mga labi at sabay-sabay silang napa "ayeeeeeeeee."

"Sssshhh," saway niya sa mga ito pero kinikilig naman siya ng slight.

"Ah, excuse me," natahimik silang lahat dahil sa taong dumating. Nakatalikod si Ev sa direksyon nito kung kaya't di niya nakita na may tao pala, but when she heard the voice ay nakilala niya agad ito.

"Khrap?" Sagot ng isang nurse kay Bank.

"Hi guys, can I borrow her for a second?" Bank was referring to Ev, he looked at Ev and secretly signaled her to follow him.

"Ahh hehehe, guys you can eat them, enjoy!" She told her friends and then followed Bank.

Nakasunod naman ang mga mata ng ibang nurses sa dalawa habang naglalakad papalayo ang mga ito. Walang nakapagsalita dahil sa presensya ni Bank at pangalawa ay there was something strange to how he asked for her.
