The Untold Romance

Chapter 18.

Ev was chosen together with Moei to participate in the yearly team building of the hospital staff. The team building would be divided into eight batches since not everyone can take a day off at one time altogether. Two nurses were taken from the OR station, the same thing from ER nurse station, ICU nurse station, admin staff, and the front desk staff, and a few doctors.

The first batch team gathered at the airport as they waited for the other mates to arrive. Everyone would be flying together from Bangkok to Krabi that would take 1.5 hours. The team building was scheduled for 4 days and 3 nights trip.

"Hi, Nurse Lisse! Can I join you?" Bati ng isang ER nurse sa kanya. She was alone and taking some hot choco drink to make herself awake.

"Sure," she agreed and smiled at the nurse. Hindi niya ito close but she often sees her sa ER station from time to time.

The nurse sat beside her, "I'm a nurse from ER, my name is Ploy," and extended her hand to Ev.

Ev took it and shook her hands too, "Lisse."

"You're very popular in ER, either with girls and especially with the boys," pagkukuwento nito sa kanya.

"Yes, that's true, Nurse Lisse! I keep hearing your name everytime they gather together and chitchat," nagulat ang dalawa nang may nakisali sa usapan nila – it was Moei.

"Really? Oh my gosh, why?" Biglang tinubuan ng hiya si Ev. She never intended to be famous, not again like what happened with her in the Philippines.

"First, the boys have huge crushes on you, and second, because of that scene two weeks ago, hehe, apparently we saw it," paliwanag ni Ploy sa kanya.

When Ploy mentioned it ay biglang namula ang mukha ni Ev remembering the scene.

"Stop," Marcus said out of the blue. Napatigil naman si Ev sa paglalakad and she looked at Marcus with a confused face.

"Huh?"

"I know what you're up to," he continued.

"Oh crap! Nahuli ba kami kahapon?" When she realized kung ano ang tinutukoy ni Marcus ay pinagpatuloy niya ang paglalakad at she went ahead of him, "not sure what you're talking about," she said while walking away from him.

However, Marcus suddenly grabbed her arm that forced her to face him, and then he hugged her.

"Hu-huy!" Pautal na sabi ni Ev because she was too surprised and confused at the same time while trying to get away from him. Maiintindihan niya kung sasampalin o magagalit si Marcus sa kanya, but a hug?

Instead of letting her go ay mas hinigpitan pa ni Marcus ang pagkakayakap sa kanya, not even minding of where they were nor caring who's gonna see them, "why am I feeling this way? Why are you messing up with my heart right now, Elisse?"

She got speechless sa sinabi ni Marcus, "anong ibig niyang sabihin?"

Hindi na makagalaw si Ev because she was too preoccupied analyzing Marcus' statement when suddenly someone grabbed her again causing Marcus' to let go of her at inilayo siya dito. Lumaki ang mga mata niya when she looked up and he saw Bank's angry face staring at Marcus na kitang-kita kahit naka mask ito.

"Bank!" She said surprisingly.

However, Marcus grabbed her other arm too kaya't na sandwich siya sa dalawang binata. Her gaze went from Bank to Marcus to Bank. "What's going on here?"

Hinila ni Ev ang kanyang mga braso mula sa pagkakahawak ng dalawang lalaki, "what are you two doing?" Sinapak niya ng mahina una si Marcus at sunod si Bank, "this is a hospital."
